(An Open Letter to A Jewish Christian)

Dear xxxx:

How are you? I am sorry to hear that your husband is still struggling with his health, and continue to hope for his recovery.

I am in receipt of your recent mailing and would appreciate it if you would clarify some issues for me, starting with the following sentence which I have quoted from your cover letter:

We are the priests, standing in the Jordan River preparing the way for many Christians to cross over into the promises

of God for Zion and the Church...

My understanding of the Scripture is that Christians are the priests (Rev 1:6, 5:10) who prepare the way for the Jewish people to recognize Jesus Christ as their Messiah, the one who fulfills the promises of God in both the Jew and the Christian.

If you agree with my statement above, please understand that the quote from your letter says the exact opposite.

If the quote from your letter is your true belief, that secular or religious Israel is the gateway to God for the Christian, you are preaching the anti-christ message of the evangelical Jew.

Once again, I address your statement,

We are the priests, standing in the Jordan River preparing the way for many Christians to cross over into the promises of God for Zion and the Church...

...and ask you, who is "we"? Who are the priests that are standing in the Jordan to help the Christian, who is saved by faith in Jesus Christ, to cross over into the promises of God? Is "we" secular or religious Israel? Or is "we" the Jew who has a relationship with Jesus Christ?

If "we" is the Jew who has a relationship with Jesus Christ, are you saying that the Jew who has a relationship with Jesus Christ is the mediator between the Christian and the promises of God that rest in secular or religious Israel? If so, this is an anti-christ message, because:

1. Christ Jesus is the only mediator between God and man (1 Tim 2:5),

2. There is neither Jew nor Greek in Christ (Col 3:11, 12 ), and

3. There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek, because the same Lord that is over all, gives His riches to all that call upon Him (Rom 10:12).

Please correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that none of the Israeli speakers at your Conference has a relationship with Jesus Christ, which made the Conference a wedding of born-again Christians and secular or religious Israel.

To what end, I ask you? To convince the Jewish nation that they cannot prevail over their enemies without recognizing Jesus Christ as their Messiah, or to convince Christians that secular or religious Israel is their only access to the promises of God?

Do you agree with the position of the evangelical Jew, that a connection with the physical land of Israel is necessary to acquire the promises of God, the most outstanding of which is immortality? If so, you are preaching an anti-christ message which gives more power to a geographical location than to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who said I will never leave you or forsake you, and where I am, you too shall be, if you will only believe in Me.

I also note that in the same letter you attribute the Kingdom to HaShem (YHVH), rather than to Jesus (Acts 2:36, Rev 11:16):

Dear Friends and Co-laborers in the work of HaShem’s Kingdom and for the sake of Zion

Do you believe that Jesus Christ is God (Jn 8:41, 10:30, Acts 2:36)? Do you believe that the Name of Jesus is higher than all of the Names of God, including HaShem (YHVH)? Or do you believe that HaShem (YHVH) is God and that Jesus is His Messiah? Your letter says "the God of Israel and His Messiah Yeshuwah (Jesus)."

If you do not believe that Jesus Christ is God, you are preaching an anti-christ message, because Jesus has ascended higher than all of the Names of God (Ps 138:2, Rev19:13), and all of the Names of God are now within Jesus, the only Name in which true immortality may be found (1 Tim 6:16).

If you do believe that Jesus Christ is God, why do you subordinate Him to HaShem (YHVH), the God of Israel?

Your literature speaks about the salvation of Israel. In whose Name do you teach that Israel will be saved? HaShem (YHVH) is the God of Israel alone. He is not the Saviour. Isaiah prophesied that HaShem (YHVH) would metamorphose (is become) into Salvation.

Isa 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

And, indeed, HaShem (YHVH) metamorphosed into Jesus of Nazareth, who was the Christ in the days of His flesh, and is now both God and Saviour of the whole world, in whom HaShem (YHVH) is raised to a higher power. To tell Israel that they can be saved by the Name of HaShem is a lie which will only prolong Israel’s present exile

Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, ....

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

My opinion of you has always been very high, xxxx, and I have no desire to cause you any grief or harm, but the Body of Christ has a right to know the truth about the message that you preach, and to a full disclosure of the foundational tenets and purposes of your ministry.

Perhaps you have not understood the full implication of what you are teaching. If so, this letter is the mercy of God to you, because there are serious spiritual and natural consequences for teaching error to God’s people, not the least of which are sickness and death.

I hope that I have been a help to you, xxxx, and pray that the truths that I have revealed here work towards your husband’s swift recovery.

May your ministry be all that the Lord Jesus Christ would have it to be – no more, and no less.
