12/30/98 - Clinton - Part 6

LivingEM: Well, it's the next to the last day of 1998.

I saw Kathleen Crier interview a preacher who ran in the presidential primary a couple of years ago, and now he is one of Clinton's spiritual advisors. He was with Martin Luther King. Well, anyway, he and Jerry Falwell were the two interviewees. Kathleen stood against the spin, and I felt that she and Jerry pinned the Democrat, even though he definitely did not give up. I feel that something has happened in the Spirit, in general, and that this interview was merely reflection of it.

Both the Clinton supporter and Falwell agreed [believe it or not, they agreed] that Clinton will never admit to lying. Therefore a censure will not manifest, and there will be a full trial in the Senate.

As I told you last week, in my opinion, Ford, Carter and Dole have made fools of themselves, fighting to help a man who will not do what is necessary to help himself. It is all or nothing with Clinton. He will fight to the death, even if it means taking the country down with him, even if it means losing his pension, his title, and the FBI bodyguard he is supposed to have for life after he leaves office. Why, you might be asking, would anyone be so foolish?

I remember asking a similar question with regard to some young person who was pursuing a life of crime. This was in the days when I was still naive about the criminal mind. The person that I was speaking to smiled, gently, and said to me: "they don't believe they will get caught." Clinton does not believe all of these things could happen to him, but they will. Part of his euphoria is based upon the poles which say that close to 80% of the American people to not want Clinton impeached.

Clinton's cronies use poles to their own advantage, but the truth is that the majority of the American people are not strongly involved with what is going on. All they are concerned about is that their life continues to go on smoothly. The proof of this is the reaction of the American people to Clinton's impeachment. The spin masters would have had us to believe that there would be rioting in the streets if Clinton were impeached. But there was no rioting in the streets. There was not even a strong protest or show of disappointment, and it is not unreasonable to assume that when Clinton is impeached by the Senate and removed from office, there will not be much of a response either. The American people will listen to the news with one ear, and continue on with their lives.

I have seen the criminal mind when she is defeated. She breaks down and cries like a child. But the strangest thing about the criminal mind is that she has amazing recuperative powers, but when she recovers, she is as stubborn and vicious as ever. What does this say? She has learned nothing from her humiliation. Mr. Clinton has learned nothing from his defeat in the House of Representatives. He is still believing his own lies. I think that one of the greatest weaknesses of Clinton's strategy is that he underestimates the Republicans. Clinton's spin that the motives of the Republicans are hate, meanness, and political assassination, may have influenced some of the American people. But he is making a big mistake when he believes his own spin, because we become vulnerable to defeat when we do not accurately understand our opponent's motives.

Bill Clinton has consistently denied the righteous indignation of the Republicans. Meanness and spite are easy enemies to overcome, because men who move in such motives are unrighteous. But men who have a holy cause, men who believe that they are fighting for the very life of the Republic, men who have a love of righteousness and honor and integrity, are not easily overcome, even when sexual weakness is found in their background.

Sexual weakness in men in public office is not a good thing, but apparently some men who also have, in addition to this weakness, the strength of moral integrity, can still function in that moral integrity. Everyone one is a mixture today. I believe that eventually sexual misdeeds will weaken those who pursue such a lifestyle, but I also believe, because I have seen it with my own eyes, that, for a season, sexual sin can co-exist with honor and moral integrity in other areas. Sometimes it takes several generations for the sexual weakness to corrupt honor in other areas. During this period of mixture, when integrity is still strong, especially if the man admits his wrong deeds, he can function in a leadership capacity.

So what am I saying? I am saying that it is possible for sexual sin to be uncovered in some Republicans who are still moving in integrity when it comes to a Constitutional crises, which is what I believe we are in the midst of. Clinton does not understand this. He has underestimated the strength of righteous moral conviction, even in a man who is not perfect and engaged in sexual misdeeds. And he has certainly underestimated the collective moral outrage in the House of Representatives, against his manipulative, underhanded tactics. I trust, and time will tell, that Clinton has also misjudged the honor of the majority of Senators of our great nation.

It is reported that the trial will begin in February. The House of Representatives will provide the prosecutory team, headed up by Henry Hyde, and United States Supreme Court, Chief Justice Rehnquist, will be the judge. The United States Senate is the jury. The Vice President of the United States is usually the judge in a Senate trial, but Vice President Gore has a conflict of interest, since he will become President when Clinton is removed from office, so Chief Justice Rehnquist will take his place.

We pray, Father, not only that your righteous judgment should be done in this situation, but that the eyes of the people should be opened, because President Clinton is merely a reflection of the hearts and minds of the American people. This same American people who didn't care that Clinton was impeached, and who will not care when he is removed from office. This selfish, childish society, who put their own needs ahead of the needs of the country, is the real problem. Help us Lord. Restore our national manhood and return this nation to righteousness.

You are the only king, Lord, Jesus, and you reign in the hearts of men. Make our oath real, once again, Lord, one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all. Forgive our sins where we have not provided liberty and justice for all Lord. Repair our hearts, Lord, raise up your righteous image in the individual and in the heart of the whole nation. Lord, let us live to glorify your name. Who will express your nature if there is no people who bear your name? Forgive our sins, oh God, and teach us righteousness. Amen and Amen.
