Subject: I love this....

Dear XXXXX:  I love this verse in 2 Cor. 4:3-4 as follows: "3. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.  4.  in whose case the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the GOSPEL of the glory OF CHRIST, who is the image of God."

The Gospel of Christ is the Doctrine of Christ, right?

[Pastor Vitale says:] different word always mean there is a difference, no matter how subtle.

“Gospel” means “good news.” The good news about Christ is that he is risen in Jesus of Nazareth, and can now be reproduced in mortal men. The Gospel of Christ does not include the good, but hard, news that our carnal mind must die, and that, not without a long warfare.

The Doctrine of Christ is the good news, plus, the hard part of the good news, i.e., the whole message of Christ’s regeneration and his work of destroying the carnal mind of the one he is regenerated in.

And this verse also states that Christ is the image of God.  Praise the Lord.

[Pastor Vitale says:] Amen. Mortal man’s only hope of being in the image of God is to die to our carnal mind and clothe ourselves with Christ.

If I am a bother with my scriptures, please advise.

[Pastor Vitale says:] Good question. Thank you for asking.

Thanks

[Pastor Vitale says:] You are very welcome.

 love XXXXXXX

Sincerely in Christ, Pastor  Sheila  R Vitale
