The Doctrine Of Christ
In Classic Fairy Tales
For Children Of All Ages
(Including Adult Children Of God)
by
Mary Jane Sears
Introduction
Proverbs
26:6; Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not
depart from it.
The deeper, spiritual understanding of this proverb is that it applies to “adult,
spiritual children” also. The “Christ child” that is being formed in us must be
trained and disciplined if He is to mature into the “manchild” of Revelation.
The many life-giving messages within the stories of the Bible are given to
help us understand and remember God’s plan for us. I have attempted to bring
these messages, or word pictures, to enlighten anyone reading them in much the
same way as the parables do. Each of us can understand the parables on whatever
level, or circumstance, we find ourselves, no matter what age we are.
These Bible stories are just a handle to grasp on to the Doctrine of Christ
with. I call them word pictures because they help the message to cling to our
memories and take root.
The Scripture warns that the thief (serpent) comes to steal and kill any seed of
Christ coming forth in our mind. The formation of the Mind of Christ within us
means that the carnal mind of death will have to go. So the Serpent’s mind, which
is in control before the Mind of Christ appears, always opposes Christ.
I pray these stories will bless you and that the seed of Christ will take root in
your minds, for this is what the Father requires of us. May we become the “picture
perfect” image of Him.
