PROPHECY

That Satan is but your servant, saith the Lord, you have said, saith God, that he is indeed my servant, saith the Lord, yea, I have controlled him, and I have created him, and I have brought him forth, and he indeed serves me, saith the Lord. As I called the world into perfection, saith God, as I call you into submission to me, I shall unleash Satan upon you, saith the Lord, and I shall bring great tribulation upon you, Oh God, and I shall turn thee from the left and to the right, yea, I shall turn thee as bread cooked on one side, saith the Lord, and I shall destroy the rebellion in your mind saith God, and I shall destroy the alienation in your mind, and I shall dispel the darkness saith God, and I shall purge the sin from you, saith the Lord, and I shall bring forth repentance saith God, and I shall indeed possess my creation, for there is none above me, saith God, there is none above me.

Hallelujah. We are going to speak today about the subject of sanctification. I do not know about you, but there are a lot of words in the Bible that a lot of people throw around, and I never really found out what they meant. I hear a lot of people going around saying, "I am sanctified." I am not really sure why they think they are sanctified, but I doubt that they are.

One of the biggest problems in the church world today is that they think they have already attained to every promise in the Bible. We have not, brethren. We are just starting along a long journey that is going to end in our perfection.

I have four things written up on the board here, and the only thing that is irreversible, brethren, is perfection. Every other stage is a step along the way to perfection, and you can slip and slide at every step of the way until you get to perfection. Perfection is the glorification of your body, the full finish of the creation of God.

Once you are glorified, and you are walking through walls, you cannot backslide. If you think that you cannot backslide in any one of these other three stages, you are mistaken.

We are going to go through it right now. I pray that everybody here and everybody hearing this message receives a revelation of the truth, so that they do not put their guard down thinking that they have it made and do not stop seeking the Lord, because they think they have gone as far as they can go, or they have it all.

We are starting, and I have a lot of Scriptures today, and I am going to go through a lot of them very quickly. Some of them if, you want, you can join me in turning to them, but you are going to lose me if you try to turn to every Scripture.

We are going to start at I Peter 3:15, which says, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts." We are commanded by the Lord to sanctify the Lord God in our hearts. What in the world does that mean? We are going to try to find out, and we are going to start with definitions.

The Greek word translated "sanctified" is Strong's #38, and it means "purification, the state of purity, to separate from things profane, and to dedicate to God, to render inviolable, to free from the guilt of sin."

If you remember some of our prior teachings, we spoke about washing with the water of the Word, and we spoke about separating the bone from the marrow, and the soul from the spirit.

We were taught that one of the first things that the Lord does when He apprehends us for His own is that He starts separating the thoughts of God from the thoughts of the carnal mind in our own mind.

The specific purpose for which He does this is to virtually separate the soul from the spirit so that He can join Himself to our spirit and swallow up our soul, thus stripping our soul from all power and authority over our lives.

As many of you know, our soul is our problem, our soul is our emotions. Our soul causes us to sin, and our spirit is all bound up in there together with our soul.

Sanctification is the separation of Christ from the soul. Hallelujah. You cannot separate Christ from the soul if Christ is not inside your heart.

We are told that the Holy Spirit enters into our heart and starts renewing our mind. The first thing He does is that He enters in, and everybody is all in there together, all mixed up. We have a conscience in there, you may recall, depending on our family line curses, and the life that we have lived in our upbringing. Everybody has some measure of a conscience.

The law of God was impressed on our chromosomes from before the foundation of the earth. When God said to Adam, "Thou shalt not eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and if you do, ye shall surely die." God, in those few words, imparted to Adam, the whole moral and spiritual law of God.

Almost everybody has some knowledge of it. You know you are not supposed to steal, you know you are not supposed to fornicate, you know you are not supposed to murder. Some people do it anyway, but they know that is wrong.

When the Holy Spirit enters into your heart, it joins to and lays hold of everything that is in your soul that is of the goodness of God. It starts to separate it out from the carnal mind, because the carnal mind has become interwoven with it.

The carnal mind has overtaken it. Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, has overtaken our conscience, at least in some measure. He has overtaken our conscience, joined himself to it, twisted himself around with it, and said to us, "It is all right to take that, it is all right to copy that software that costs five hundred dollars that your friend has down the block with the copyright on it.

Everybody does it, why should you spend five hundred dollars for software for your computer, just copy Joe's software." That is stealing, brethren, and if you do not know that is stealing, in this area, your conscience has been overtaken by Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind.

We have no way of knowing in what areas our conscience has been overtaken by Satan, the unconscious part of the mind, because we think it is okay. We do not know until the Lord comes to us, and says, "That is not okay." Very often we do not even know that we were sinning. Hallelujah.

This is what sanctification is. It is the washing with the water of the Word. It is the separating of Christ in your mind from fallen adam in your mind for the specific purpose of Christ being raised up to full stature, and taking authority over the carnal mind and putting it under His feet.

Paul said, "The Lord shall bruise Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, underfoot shortly." We are not to be ruled by our emotions anymore. We are to be ruled by the rational mind, the love and the power, and the law of the Living God, which is righteousness.

I do not care what you are feeling. Adultery is really "in" today, brethren. We prayed for someone last week, who was thinking about leaving his wife and eight children. That is so horrendous, all I could do is laugh.

I watched "Gone With The Wind" last week, going back to the nineteenth century, and Scarlet O'Hara wanted Ashley to leave his wife. She said, "There is nothing stopping us," and he said, "Nothing but honor."

He knew what was right. Sometimes we do not know what is right. When the Lord comes into our mind by the Holy Spirit, the first thing that He does is to separate out what is His that has been totally overtaken by Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind.

Praise God, He separates it out for the specific purpose of taking authority over it. Glory to God. Hallelujah.

Webster's says pretty much the same thing, that to sanctify means "to set apart for a sacred purpose." The sacred purpose is to exalt Christ in your mind, so that He can rule in your soul and in your body so that we can stop dying. It is so simple. It is so simple when you talk about it. You try and do it.

Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, is fighting like a wild venomous beast. What does he have to lose? He has to lose your mind and your body. That is what he has to lose. Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, wants to manifest in the realm of appearance. Hallelujah.

He wants to use your body, your mind, and your mouth, your ability to speak. He wants to manifest. He does not want to go underfoot, Hallelujah, and serve the living God in righteousness.

Who or what sanctifies us? I Corinthians 1:30 says, "But of him are ye in Christ Jesus who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption." Jesus Christ is our sanctification. It is something that happens to you, it is something that is added to you.

Sanctification is not a process that comes upon you right as you are and changes you. Sanctification is the adding of the Lord Jesus Christ by His Spirit. Glory to God.

I Corinthians 6:11 says, "And such were some of you, but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

"The name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God," that is talking about the Word of God, and the Spirit of God. You need both, brethren.

You have to have the Word. God is the truth, spiritual truth, and the Spirit of God is the power that cleanses you. You cannot be sanctified unless the truth is standing there ready to be implanted in your soul.

God is not going to take wrong thinking away from you unless He provides the right thinking. This is not just in God. You go to a psychiatrist, and they will tell you the world has this knowledge. They are not going to take away something from you unless they are ready and prepared to give you something else. You will be destroyed.

This process is not available to you until you have received the faith in Jesus Christ, and you are moving on in God. There is no salvation, there is no purification, there is no perfection unless Christ is added to you.

The whole world is trying to get it by some man-made device. They are thinking of all of these techniques. It is incredible, but it is really abominable if you stop to see it.

All of these things, they are going to put a computer in your brain, and freeze your body. When modern technology is advanced enough, they can recall you, defrost you, and give you new organs and do all of these things.

What you need is Jesus Christ. They cannot do it, they are going to fail. They are going to fail at every turn. You cannot get Jesus without righteousness, and they do not want to be righteous. They want all of the eternal promises of God, they want to hold on to their unrighteousness, but they cannot do it.

John 17:19 says, "And for their sakes (this is Jesus speaking), I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified by the truth." They are sanctified by the truth, right thinking. Amen?

You are never going to know that it is dark out there if I do not turn the light on. You are never going to know that you are thinking wrong if I do not speak the truth to you. Some of you beat me up pretty bad when I tell you the truth, but that is okay, because I am called to die for you.

Once you have heard it, once it has gone into your mind, then the Lord takes over, but you have to hear it. If I do not speak it to you, your blood is on my hands. That is the way it works, not just here, but whoever God sends me to, in the street, anywhere. You have to hear it.

Some people think that it is just them and God, but He does not work that way. You are not going to wake up in the middle of the night with this mysterious voice impulsing words into your mind. The truth is that is not how He does it. He sends a human being to you to tell you the truth. Glory to God.

Then He witnesses it to you by His Spirit in you. His Spirit in you is the witness. He sends a man to speak the truth to you. Glory to God. Hallelujah.

As a further confirmation, I just read John 17:19, and I said that we are sanctified by the truth. John 17:17, Jesus says, "Thy Word is truth." The Word of God is the truth. If you want to get your thinking right, read the law of God, read the Word of God, get an understanding of the law of God.

I have read the law of God, and I have understanding on some issues. I prayed for years, but my prayer was always by the mercy of God.

My prayer was always, "Lord, I do not understand that, I do not understand how you could allow Hitler's Germany. I do not understand it. I know that you are God and that your thoughts are higher than my thoughts. I do not mean to criticize you, but I am really being honest with you, I cannot deal with it. I cannot deal with that man lying on the street. I cannot deal with that five year old girl that is been sexually abused. I cannot deal with it, but I know that you are right."

Lots of times I have to wait for years, and there are things I still do not understand, but He answers you. Glory to God.

Hebrews 10:9-10 says, "Lo, I come to do thy will, by the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus once."

We are sanctified by the offering of the body of Jesus one time. It does not say we are sanctified by the crucifixion of His Spirit. We are sanctified by the offering of His body, with Jesus' body that died on the cross.

His Spirit did not die on the cross. Hallelujah. His body was crucified one time, is a spiritual sacrifice, it exists forever in the heavenlies. We are reconciled unto God.

Hallelujah, we thank God for it. We are reconciled unto God, and we are sanctified. Glory to God.

What happened when His body was crucified, spiritually what happened? His Spirit went into the heavenlies and He returned. After He ascended...actually, this is what happened.

First, He was glorified. After He ascended, He came back to the earth by His Spirit, and He entered into each one of our hearts. If you have the Lord, the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Spirit that was in the man whose body was crucified has entered into your heart, and by that spirit you are sanctified.

Before His body was crucified, there was no provision for Him to pour out of His Spirit upon all flesh. It is not some abstract thing floating around in the sky that Jesus Christ's body died, and now you are sanctified.

Something happened, and it happened to you. He was glorified, and He poured out of His Spirit, and part of it has sprinkled upon you. He sanctifies you by His blood. Hallelujah. By His blood, meaning His life. Glory to God.

Jude, I did not write down the verse, unless that is Jude 1, I am not sure. "To them that are sanctified by God the Father..." We are sanctified by God the Father. Jesus is one with the Father. When He sprinkled on you, you got Jesus, and you also got the Father. Hallelujah.

We are going to be filled up with so many good things of God, there is going to be no room for any demon to dwell in us, but we still have to get the Son, amen? They are going to be utterly cast out and overtaken, totally depending on the circumstances.

Hebrews 9:13-14, "For if the blood of bulls and goats sanctify us to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God."

With regard to the eternal spirit, that word "eternal" is "aonias." It is referring to the life of the ages, and the word "spot" means "unblemished, unblameable."

Webster's says that to have a blemish means to be pale or wounded. We know from our studies on the creation, to be pale indicates a lack of the Life of God. If you have the Life of God, you are red and ruddy, you have blood in your face. To be blemished and wounded means a breach or a cutting.

There is all of this speculation about the beast whose one head was wounded, and yet he still lived. There are millions of speculations about what the wound was. Brethren, the beast is fallen adam, and the wound is that he was separated from God; yet, he still lives.

As we have been studying recently, he is involved in an existence. The Bible does not call it Life, but he has an existence, which is separation from God. That is the wound that was in the beast's head. Yet, he still lived. He is existing. It is a great mystery. Glory to God.

A blemish is a separation from God. Something that separates you from God is sin. Sin separates you from God. Hallelujah.

The word "conscience" refers to moral consciousness, which is from a root that means "to see completely, to be informed." This is not to be informed about off-track betting. This is to be informed about spiritual things, right? How could you know you are sinning if no one tells you that it is wrong?

God will tell you what is wrong if you want to hear it. To have your moral consciousness intact means that you have a full and working knowledge of every spiritual law of God.

I have an Alternate Translation for you on those two verses, because I have always wondered about those verses. I think they are a little confusing. I think this is an exciting Alternate Translation.

This is Hebrews 9:13-14, Alternate Translation, "If the life of bulls and goats have the power to purify the flesh of all spiritual filthiness, surely the soul life and the body of Christ, which by the power of the Spirit of the ages is not in any way separated from God, neither by demons, nor any other spiritual breach caused by sin, who is not separated from God at all, but is receiving (Now this is his soul life), all life, preservation, and protection in the spiritual realm of God, because He is joined to God (There is no separation, if that is the case), how much more can this sacrifice of the soul life of Christ, purify, clarify, and restore your ability, to understand spiritual truth, and perform spiritual righteousness, so that you can serve the living God, spirit to spirit, without needing to be justified, through obedience to carnal rituals, because your mind is filled with spiritual filth."

When your mind is filled with spiritual filth, your spirit cannot make contact with the Spirit of God. God in His mercy, says to us, "If you are obedient to certain rituals that I set out, I will call you clean in my sight." To natural Israel, it was the law of Moses.

We have had teaching in this ministry on the law of the Holy Spirit. Basically, what God requires of us is to do unto your brother as you would do unto yourself, and to love God with all your heart, your mind, and your soul.

We cannot do that. Sometimes I hate people, I am not perfected yet. We know that under the Old Covenant, if you failed, you slew an animal. Through your obedience to God's provision, you were sanctified.

In the New Testament, if we fail to love our brother, if we hate our brother, if we sin, all we have to do is repent, and the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ is immediately implemented and restored to righteousness.

Brethren, how could you repent if you do not understand that you have sinned against your brother? If you do not understand, and if you do not repent, brethren, the wrath of God is upon you. Glory to God.

I am going to read this again. "If the life of bulls and goats have the power to purify the flesh (That is the old covenant), of all spiritual filthiness, surely the soul life of Christ which, by the power of the spirit of the ages, is not in any way separated from God, neither by demons, nor any other spiritual breach caused by sin, but is receiving all life, preservation and protection in the spiritual realm of God, through being joined to God, how much more can the sacrifice of Christ's soul life, purify, clarify, and restore your ability to understand spiritual truth and perform spiritual righteousness, so that you can serve the living God, spirit to spirit, without needing to be justified through obedience to carnal rituals, because your mind is filled with spiritual filth."

The soul life of Jesus Christ was without blemish, was without separation from God, because of the implementation of the power of the spirit of the ages, which is the spirit of Christ. We cannot do it without power, cannot do it by mind control, cannot do it by self will.

The enabling to bring forth righteousness in our souls is the power of God. Man cannot do it, brethren. He is trying, he is trying, he cannot do it. Hallelujah.

We are still talking about who or what sanctifies us. Going on, Hebrews 13:12, "Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate."

We are sanctified by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, glory to God. That is the second verse on that. What sanctification means to the believer, the first thing it means is "to be called," and what does "to be called mean?" Strong's #2822, "called," it means "to be invited or to be appointed." Glory to God.

We are going to look right now at who is called, we are going to talk about invited or appointed to what in a few minutes.

Who is called, I Corinthians 1:26-31, glory to God, "For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, and not many mighty, nor many noble are called, but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty, and the base things of the world, and the things which are despised hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to naught the things which are."

He has chosen the weak and insignificant things of the world, and if you are looking for God in a fancy building, in a charismatic man who appears to be prosperous, He is probably not there.

I do not know why this Scripture is so hard. The people do not want to understand this. You want God, you want to find God? I will tell you where to find him. Look for the weak, look for the foolish, look for the base things of this world. That is where God is. You want the power of God or do you want man's religion?

That is where you look. Look for the foolish, look for the base, glory to God. Look for those which are despised, and you will find God. Hallelujah, glory to God.

Why does God do it this way? Verse 29, "That no flesh should glory in the presence of God." You cannot get power with God because you are a good business man, because you have a lot of money, because you are prestigious, because you are handsome. That is not going to get you power with God, brethren.

Humility and submission to God is going to get you power with God.

It just seems to be that successful men, and you know when I say men, I am talking about men and women, I am talking about mankind, they just seem to have a problem submitting to God. They just think they are great. The only people that God can give power to, because the only people that will acknowledge Him as God, are the weak and foolish, and the despised, and the base of this world.

The successful do not want to admit that God is in it. They want all the glory. They want to say it is their ministry. There is only one ministry, brethren, the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is only one ministry. There would not be all of this competition between ministers if someone believed it.

There is only one ministry, and it is Jesus. If you are serving in any manner, shape, or form, and that means from evangelist that goes around the world that ministers to millions of people, down to the person that cleans the church, you are in the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ.

You do not even have to do that. If you go out on the street and God uses you, and you know if He uses you or not, you are in the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. You are all in submission to Him, and all the glory is His.

If you are looking for glory, if you are looking for prestige, if you are looking for importance, you are going to lose what you have. You are going to lose it, brethren.

If you want to stay in the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only way to do it is to humble yourself before God and be prepared. You have to make sure it is God, but be prepared to give away whatever you have. If you try to protect what you perceive to be your ministry, it is as good as being snatched out of your hands.

I was in a church, brethren, where there was someone that would have done anything to keep me from manifesting the Holy Spirit in that ministry. The competition was intense.

I remember to this day, this goes back years, I cried out to God, I said, "Lord, this is not right, there are millions ofpeople that need ministry, surely there is enough for the two of us to do, that we do not have to be scratching our eyes out to minister by your Spirit. I will not do it!"

Now, three years later, I am sitting here and the other person is on their way down. You do not want to lose, brethren, try and hold on to it. Glory to God, may that get into my brain, I do not want to lose what I have. "May I walk in this revelation, oh God." Hallelujah.

Even if it looks like you are losing, your ministry, how do you know that God is not calling you to some over-seas ministry? How do you know that? You do not know that. Maybe you were losing it, but maybe He has one twice as big for you. You must get spiritual, brethren.

He does it so "That no flesh should glory in His presence, but of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us, wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification." He is our everything.

"There is no good thing in us," but by the adding of Christ to us, we are being made whole.

We are being cleansed of all of the filthiness of the flesh, which includes the casting out of evil spirits. It is a valid ministry. Do not say, "I do not believe in it." I believe in deliverance, but the end is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

His presence purges the filthiness of your flesh, so He can indwell your mind and your body and use it for the purposes of righteousness, defending the cause of the widow and the orphan. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

Why are we called? Romans 8:28-30, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He did predestinate, them He also called, them He also justified, and whom He justified, them He also glorified." Let us try and understand that.

The Greek word translated "foreknow" means "to ordain beforehand." You were ordained before you were born. If you are called of God, God decided that you would be in His service before you were born in the realm of the spirit.

Let me give you the numbers in case you want to study this. To foreknow is #4267, to predestinate is #4309, and it means "to limit beforehand." A lot of people read that in Strong's concordance, and they think that it means to limit the number; therefore, everybody cannot be saved because it is only a limited number.

It does not mean that. This word "to predestinate" is from a root which is #3724, and it means "to mark out or bound," and that is from Strong's #3725 which means "boundary line."

Webster's says that "to bound" means "to confine, to enclose, to place under legal or moral restraint."

I am suggesting to you, brethren, that when God took the spark of the Life of His Spirit, and put it inside of a soul and human body, they were bounded out.

We are in here, our spiritual life is in here, it is bound, and it is restrained, and it is enclosed as we go through the process of being made into a spiritual man.

He foreknew us, He ordained us to be in the realm of appearance before we were born. He predestinated us, He locked us up inside of this soul and this body. He limited us. We had all access to the spiritual realm of God. We sang in the heavenlies with God, we are told in the book of Job.

He took us out of that free place, and locked us up in these bodies. That is what it means to be limited, brethren. Glory to God.

The word "conformed" is Strong's #4832. It means "fashioned like unto, to be formed jointly in the same manner," and it comes from the two words, which mean "union, shape, form, a division, or a share."

The last root is Strong's #3313. It means "a division or a share, a piece or a portion." We know that when we studied the book of Exodus, all of the twelve tribes were looking for their portion. God gave them land where they could live with their families and their cattle.

The spiritual man that you are, brethren, is living in this body that we have. Your portion is the body that you have. We are spirit, we possess a soul, and we live in a body.

We were foreknown. God decided we were going to be, before we appeared in the face of the earth. We were predestinated, we were locked into the soul that we are in, or that we possess, and we were conformed, glory to God. We were given our share of the land. Hallelujah.

We were given our share, our portion of what Jesus Christ is getting. We are sharing in the inheritance of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.

I just want to read over that again. That was Romans 8:28-30, glory to God. Hallelujah. "For whom He did foreknow, for whom He picked out and called to this before we ever appeared in the realm of appearance, He also did limit them into a soul, into the restrictions of the soul, for the purpose of being conformed, to the image of the Son, getting a piece of the land, which is the Son."

We are a piece of the Son, brethren, glory to God. "That He might be the first born of many, brethren." We are all in Him. We are all in Him, and His spirit is in each and every one of us. This is a supernatural body that Jesus has.

It is made up of many members, and we appear to be separate as we walk along the face of the earth, but we are all Jesus' body. That is what we are. Glory to God.

"Moreover whom He did predestinate, the ones that He limited, that He restricted in that soul, He also called them, He invited them." Those whom He invited to what? To be in Jesus. Those whom He invited, He justified. He made righteous before God. Justification is right standing with God. Glory to God.

Being a part of Him, you are automatically justified. The first fruit sanctifies the lump, brethren. "Jesus Christ made unto perfection." He is the first fruits of the Spirit of God. He is perfected, He is free from sin, and He sanctified the whole lump. That is us.

Are you satisfied knowing that you can talk to God because you are sanctified by the first fruits? Do you want to be purged of the filthiness of your spirit, soul, and body, so that you could be joined to God in total preservation, safety, and perfection?

Let us not stop here, brethren. Glory to God. "And whom He justified, those whom He gave right standing with God, He glorified."

I just said it. If you are justified, you can still have filth in your flesh, in your body, in your mind, in your soul, and in your spirit. Because the first fruits are sanctified, and justified, and glorified, you are justified before God. Do you want to stay that way, do you not want to be glorified? Hallelujah.

He also called us to glorification, brethren. He did not call us to speak in tongues and have all of the problems that we have. He called us to finish the job in us. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

Romans 1:5, "By whom we have received grace, and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name." We are talking about why we were called. If I am not mistaken, that is where we are.

Why are we called? That is what we are on. "By whom we have received grace and apostleship for the purpose of obedience to the faith, among all nations for His name."

The word "obedience" means "submission," submission to the faith. The word "faith" means "belief in the truth of God." We have to believe the truth of the Word of God. We have to submit to it.

If you really believe that if you take that software...I am going to pick something real simple, or if you copy a Bible tape or CD that is copyrighted from the person that sits next to you in church, and you do not send that check to the company that owns the copyright, if you really do not think that, that is sin, you are not in submission to the Word of God.

You need deliverance in your mind. You cannot be in submission to the word of God until your mind is delivered. Hallelujah.

We are called to receive grace and apostleship. We are called to apostleship for the reason of being obedient to the faith. That means having a full knowledge and understanding of every little segment of the law of God.

Why? For His name. His name is His spirit, and He wants to use your mind that has been totally renewed, that has a full knowledge and understanding of the law of God. He wants to put His spirit in you and send you forth to set the nations free, through the Word of truth.

To say to this person, "You are dying because you are doing this, and this, and this, and it is against the Word of the Lord." The people do not know.

They do not know what they are doing. If we have the imputed anointing, we can lay hands on them, we can cast out demons, we can heal a disease, but it is a band aid. It is temporary.

If you are breaking the Word of God, if you are breaking the law of God, you are just going to continue to birth more demons. We have to stop breaking the law of God. We cannot stop breaking the law of God until we find out what we are doing is wrong.

The only way that we are going to find out is by God sending forth people that He has raised up to apostleship, that have a full working knowledge of the Word of God.

They are not just going to lay hands on you and cast out a demon. There is not anything wrong with that, but while they do that, they are also going to impart the Word of truth to you, as to what in your mind is thinking wrong that is causing these curses and these demons to come upon you.

They are not only going to cast the demon out, they are going to give you what you need, so that you stop birthing more. Amen. Glory to God.

We are talking about what we are called to. We are talking about why we are called. We are called to proclaim the truth, by His Spirit, to all nations. We just talked about that.

It is great casting out demons, brethren. It is exciting, it is rewarding, but there is more. You know when you have a wound, and it keeps on bleeding, you can put this disinfectant on it and stop the blood and dress the wound, but it keeps on bleeding.

You have to do something else. You have to cauterize it. They take a hot iron and they burn it, they stop the bleeding.

We have to impart knowledge to the people. We are called to impart to the people a knowledge of why they are birthing demons. Hallelujah, glory to God.

We are also called by being in Him from before the foundations of the earth. We are called because before the foundations of the earth, we were ordained to be a part of Christ. We are going to understand that a little more by the next segment here which is, How are we called?

Romans 1:1-4, 6, "Paul, servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the Gospel of God, which He had promised afore by His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, concerning His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, which was made of the seed of David, according to the flesh (glory to God), and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead."

Verse 6, "Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ." We are the called of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. I am going to take that a verse at a time.

Verses 1 and 2, "A servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle..." ...This is Paul, and he was "...separated (or sanctified) unto the Gospel of God, which He had promised afore, by His prophets in the Holy Scripture."

The Gospel of God was promised in the Holy Scripture by the prophets, because it is a knowledge of the Gospel of God that is going to give us the knowledge that we need to be separated, Hallelujah.

The Gospel of God, Verse 3 concerns His Son, Jesus Christ, who is our Lord. We are sanctified by the Gospel of God, which is His story of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, which was by means of the seed of David, according to the flesh.

This is not the Gospel of the cross, brethren. The Gospel of the cross is wonderful, and it does touch people in a certain way. The Gospel of God, the Gospel that is going to sanctify us is the Gospel of the story of Jesus Christ, about how He was made of the seed of David, according to the flesh.

Verse 4, "And how He was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead." Glory to God, Hallelujah. Glory to God.

I want to point out in Verse 3 that Jesus Christ was made of the seed of David, according to the flesh. That refers to His body and His soul. He inherited His body and His soul from the line of David, which was under the law of God for centuries, which had a minimum of curses and evil spirits upon it, because of their obedience to the law of God. He was born with a minimum of curses and demons.

He was also declared to be the Son of God, and that Word "declared" is the same Word that we studied in our study of the creation. He was declared before He was ever in the earth. His soul and His body, He received from the line of David. His spiritual life was spoken. He was declared by God, "This is my Son."

He was spoken, and He was joined. His spiritual life, the life of the Son was joined to the soul and the body that He received from David. Glory to God. Hallelujah. "And He was declared to be the Son of God with power."

There are two Greek words that mean power. This is the Greek word "dunamis," and it means miracle working power. He was declared to be the Son of God in a human body with a human soul, with miracle working power according to the spirit of holiness. Glory to God.

That word "according" means "under." He was given power when He was in submission to, or under the spirit of holiness. There is no power, brethren, without holiness.

Even Jesus Christ could only have power according to the spirit of holiness, Hallelujah. "And by the resurrection of the dead." Because He was holy, the power of Almighty God raised Him from the dead.

The power of Almighty God that dwells in the man, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the natural man from the line of David, whose soul and body was from the line of David, the Son of God that was within him, had ruled His soul unto holiness. He had brought His soul into submission to the spirit of holiness, and because He did that, He was raised from the dead.

He had a body from a natural line. There had to be some curses and some demons. That is why they made the sacrifices, the natural Jew, He had to inherit something.

What made Him holy was that the declared One of God, who entered into this soul and body, utterly subdued the soul and the body of the natural man, purging it, and cleansing it, and bringing it into submission, thus making it holy.

Some people might get very upset over this to think that the body and the soul of Jesus Christ might have had a demon or a curse, but I remind you that it was the body and the soul of the natural line, of the seed of David.

The Son of God was the Logos, and the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary, and that Holy Thing, that Holy Word of God was born in her. What was perfect, what was irreproachable was the declared One of God. Who was joined to a soul and body of a natural line, Israel, it was not perfect.

A lot of people get into trouble with that. There are some people and some denominations going around and saying that His mother had to be perfect, because how could she have possibly brought forth a perfect Son, and they are saying that she was perfect. You get into trouble, brethren.

The body and soul of Jesus Christ of Nazareth was not perfect upon birth. His Spirit was perfect, His spirit was Almighty God, and He rose up and He overcame the soul and the lust of the flesh, brought it into submission, purged it, cleansed it, and brought it into submission to holiness.

Thus, when His body was crucified, because His soul was holy, He rose from the dead. That is what happened. When our souls are purified, when the Spirit of God in us, when the Son of God in us raises up to full stature, He is going to bring our soul into a position of holiness, and we are going to die to the flesh.

He is going to take over our soul and our body, and He is going to live His life through us.

We will be righteous and, for all intents and purposes, we will have been resurrected from the dead, because our soul is dying. We are not going to have to be crucified like Jesus was crucified. It is all happening within our minds. Our soul is dying. Hallelujah.

We will live by His life and His righteousness, and His holiness. Glory to God. We will receive eternal life, and we will not die, by the power of His Spirit of His miracle working power. Hallelujah, glory to God.

Jesus Christ received His body and soul from the seed of David. He received His spiritual life from the spoken Word of God. He was given power, miracle working power, which could only come forth when it was subjected to holiness. It was implemented by the resurrection of the dead soul life. Glory to God.

We will take it backwards. When His soul life was utterly purged from sin and thus died, He was subject to holiness. When He was subject to holiness, He was given power. When He was given power, He raised up from the dead the body and the soul from the seed of David. Hallelujah, glory to God.

What does sanctification mean to the believer? We are still in that category. We are now asking what it means to be elected. Sanctification means to be called, and it means to be elected.

The word translated "elected" is Strong's #1588, and it means "to be chosen and to be selected." It is from a root that means "to lay forth, to relate in words."

It means to be spoken into existence. That refers to the spirit, and to be called refers to the soul. The calling refers to your soul, and to be elected refers to your spirit. Glory to God.

We want a definition of being elected, Romans 9:11, "For the children, being not yet born, neither having done good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of Him that calleth."

We are elected, in that it is only by the will of God that we are chosen. It is not because you are big, strong, handsome, rich, good looking, or because your father is the town attorney. You are elected because God called you and, in most instances and very often, God will choose the most unlikely person.

The Scripture that we just read was about two children who were just born. The children had not sinned yet, so there would be no reason for God to choose one over the other.

He just wanted it known that one was going to be raised up in spiritual power over the other, not because one sinned and the other did not, but because God said, "It is you," by the will of God, Hallelujah.

Being "called" refers to the receiving of the soul, and being "chosen or elected" refers to the spirit that we receive. Hallelujah.

The sign of being elected, I Thessalonians 1:4-7, "Knowing, brethren, your election of God, for our gospel came not unto you in Word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance, as ye know what manner of men we were, among you, for your sake. And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the Word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost."

I would like to point out to you that in Verse 5 it says, "Our gospel came not unto you in Word only, but also in power and in the Holy Ghost."

What it is indicating is that the believers that receive the ministry recognize the Word and recognize the demonstration of power, that it was of God.

This is the sign of your election if you can see some weak things, and you can see the power of God on that person, and you can perceive that the Word of God is coming forth from their base mouth, or whatever condition God has them in.

Remember, you cannot tell the minister of God by their wealth, by their fortune, by their good looks, or by their personality. You cannot tell if it is a man of God because of the size of the church, because of the size of the congregation.

You have to recognize the Word of God and the Spirit of God on that person. That is the only way of identifying the true apostle of God. When you can do that, your spirit, the spirit that is within you, will witness to it by giving you an assurance (This is verse 5), by the Holy Ghost. Glory to God.

Let me read that to you again, "For our gospel came not unto you in Word only, you recognized it in Word, but it came also in power, you recognized it in power, and in the Holy Ghost that was in you, and in much assurance that was in you, as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sakes."

They recognized the apostles as men of God, because the Holy Ghost gave them an assurance, and a recognition of the Word and the Spirit of God upon the person. Hallelujah.

It resulted in them following the apostles. Verse 6, "And ye became followers of us," and of the Lord, because they were one with the Lord. If you are a true apostle, you are one with the Lord. They became followers of them and the Lord, "having received the Word in much affliction."

We were talking about that earlier. When the true Word of God comes forth under a true anointing, it is going to attack your carnal mind, and your carnal mind is most likely to attack you.

The word "affliction" means anguish, tribulation, pressure, burden, persecution and trouble." The Word of God is going to bring trouble into your life, because it is revealing your unrighteousness for the specific purpose of being cleansed and receiving the righteousness of the Word of God. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

We are going to look into the promise of the election. If you are elected, what is in it for you? II Peter 1:4, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."

We are going to partake of the divine nature, the mind that is in God is going to be in us. All knowledge, all wisdom, all righteousness. Hallelujah, and we will escape the corruption.

What is the corruption? Our body dies. We are going to escape physical death, which is in the world because we sin as a result of lust. That is the promise.

If you are elected, that is what you can hope for. Not going to heaven. It does not say anything about going to heaven or another planet. You are going to escape corruption in the world.

How can you escape corruption if you are flying around in heaven? You have to hold on to your body. Your body is not going to die. That is the promise to you. Hallelujah.

Glory to God. II Peter 1:5-11, "And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith, virtue." You are going to get the divine nature. You are going to escape corruption. You are going to get faith, you are going to get virtue, and to virtue, knowledge.

After knowledge you are going to get temperance, and to temperance, patience, and to patience, you are going to get godliness. After godliness you are going to get brotherly kindness, you are going to get charity. Hallelujah.

All of these things are the inheritance of those that are called to the election. You do not have to go around beating yourself over the brain, because you did not love your brother.

It is going to become your state of being. Your very nature is going to develop the nature of God. We just spoke about that. You are going to inherit or be partakers of the divine nature. This is the divine nature.

The word "virtue" means "manliness," and we know the soul realm is female. You are not going to be female anymore. You are going to be converted into a spiritual man with all of the strength, and power, and victory associated with manhood.

Knowledge means a knowledge of the law. You will not be breaking the law of God anymore, because you are going to have a knowledge of it.

Temperance means self control. No more temper outburst. You will not be moved by your soul. You will not say the wrong thing, because your soul rose up, and your spirit was too weak to control it. You are going to have temperance and self control, because the Spirit of God which is rational, and calm, and moderate is going to be ruling your life.

You are not going to be living out of your soul and your emotions. Glory to God.

You are going to get patience, which means endurance. You are going to endure through long trials, brethren, so that you become strong.

I am told that in Japan they dress the very young children very lightly, and take them for long walks in the bad weather. These kids get strong, they develop physical stamina and strength. They do this when they are very young.

That is what God is doing to us spiritually. He has given us great ordeals and hardships, so that we become strong.

The next time you are crying and you feel terrible, remember this Word is to strengthen you, because God loves you. The days of your being overtaken are no longer at hand, Hallelujah.

Godliness is holiness, and we are called to holiness. We are called to not sin in our minds. It is not enough to not do it, we are called to not sin in our minds, and after we become holy, we are called to brotherly kindness. This is the "phileo" love.

There are three kinds of love, eros, phileo, and agape. Eros is the love that is exhibited during sexual intercourse between a man and a woman.

Phileo is the love for a fellow brother. When you stop hating your brother, and you start thinking kindness towards him. It does not necessarily mean you have developed the love of God.

It means that you have come out of your horrible reprobate condition, which many of us were in when God called us. You have come to a place where you can actually feel kindness and compassion towards your fellow brother out of a phileo love, as one brother to the other. Glory to God, and that is a result of a purified soul.

If your soul is not purified, what you are going to feel for your brother is envy and lust. That is what you are going to feel for your brother, hatred.

When your soul is purified, you will love him with the love of a fellow man. What follows that, brethren, is the love of God, and the love of God has power.

When you love your brother with the love of man, you can have sympathy for him, you can look at his travail and say, "Oh how terrible, I am so sorry that you are going through that."

When you develop the agape love of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Scripture tells us that Jesus had compassion upon the people. He did not have sympathy on them, He did not look upon them, and say, "Oh you poor thing."

He had compassion upon them. He entered into their grief, and He imparted to them the power to heal, physically, emotionally, whatever their problem was.

When you experience phileo love, you have sympathy, and good thoughts towards your brother, results of a purified soul.

When you have the agape love of the Lord Jesus Christ, you have compassion. You can identify with them, which you also have the power to bring deliverance into their life.

That is when you know you have the agape love of the Lord Jesus Christ when your sympathy is with power, and it becomes compassion. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

I have one more Scripture on the promise. This is all the promise to the elect of God. I Peter 2:5-6, "Ye also, as lively stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he that believeth on him, shall not be confounded."

This is a quote from the Old Testament. We are called to be the house of the Lord Jesus Christ, a holy priesthood, that will offer up spiritual sacrifices, that the Lord Jesus Christ will live His life through us, and because He is elect, we are elect, and because He is precious, we are precious.

He that believeth on the Lord Jesus Christ manifesting in us, shall not be confounded. Jesus Christ of Nazareth is not on the face of the earth anymore. It is the Christ that is manifesting through you.

You go to somebody and say, "I can heal you," and they do not believe it. They will be confounded. They will not get the healing, they will not get the deliverance.

He that denies that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is an anti-Christ. They are going to stumble at the flesh. The Jews stumbled at the flesh of the natural man, Jesus Christ.

The same thing is happening today. If you cannot discern the spirit of God, ask God for it. Your spiritual life depends on it. I do not know how to emphasize that strongly enough. If you are not spiritual, or you do not think you are spiritual enough, or you just want the ultimate, ask God to open your spiritual senses.

If you stumble at the flesh of a man, if God comes to you in a man and you say, "That is not God," you have missed it. Look at the Jews. God is going to bring them back, but it has been thousands of years. He is going to bring them back, I do not deny that, but it has been thousands of years.

Do not think that you are going to refuse your deliverance in a man and go hop skipping down to the ministry and get it down there. You are not, brethren, you are not. You have to get it from the vessel that God raises up to minister to you.

He is not going to change vessels because you do not like the weakness or the baseness or whatever it is that bothers you in the vessel that He has raised up. He is not going to send you a rich sophisticated man with a big church building, because that is what turns you on.

If that is your problem, He is probably going to come in some little old lady that cannot even walk. Discern the spirit, brethren, your spiritual life depends on it. If you cannot do it, ask God for it, or you will die.

I want to touch on a contradiction that may have entered into some of your minds. I have said in this message that to be "called" refers to your soul and is an invitation, and to be "chosen" refers to the establishment of your spirit. Matt.20:16 says, "Many are called, but few are chosen." I wanted to deal with that on this message.

If you study those words in the Greek, you really have to ask God to reveal this to you. It is not really clear, I am not going to lie to you. You have to ask the Lord to witness the truth of this to you.

The word "many" means "the whole," the whole of your being, the whole of your carnality, spirit, soul and body. You are called in your carnal state of physical bulk, but the word "few" can mean few in number, but it does not have to. It can mean "little" as far as you are concerned.

You are called in your total state of physical bulk, but that which is making it in, is your spirit man. Many are called, all of you are called, spirit, soul and body, but it is your spirit man that is going to be elected. Does that make any sense to you at all?

I will just pray, "Father, that if this in fact be your Word that you quicken it to them."

I know it is not an easy one. "Many are called, but few are chosen." You are called in your carnal state of physical bulk, but it is the spiritual man that is elected. You can only enter into the kingdom after much deliverance in your personality.

When you get all of this deliverance, you are lighter. If you cast out all of these demons, spiritually you are lighter. We know that there are Scriptures that talk about this heavy load. Heavy weight refers to sin, and sin is usually demons or, very often, demons.

When we are delivered from the weight of sin and the demons, we are lighter. We are not entering into the kingdom in our carnal state. We have to get the load taken off of us. It is the purified mind that is going in, and if you recall, in the Scripture, Jesus was being almost attacked, by His employees who were saying to Him, "How come you are paying us the same wage that you paid the people that came into the field late?"

Jesus said, "Can I not do what I want with my own money? Many are called, but few are chosen." What He was saying is, you are not going into the kingdom with your mind in this condition.

If you could say, "How could you pay him the same money that you paid me, for the same hour," you are not going into the kingdom. You need to lose weight, you have to get delivered from the sin that is causing your mind to think in this ungodly fashion. Glory to God.

How do we become sanctified? We become sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ. Acts 26:18, "And ye shall receive inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith, that is in me," Jesus speaking. How do we get faith? Every man is given a measure of faith. A gift of God. You cannot get it by your self, brethren. You cannot believe for it, it is God that gives you the faith.

You cannot have a basic salvation experience unless God gives you the faith. You cannot do anything without Him. You cannot make a decision for Christ, brethren, unless God puts it in your heart. You cannot do it. You are not choosing Him, He is choosing you.

Man wants to be God. You cannot choose God, adam. God is choosing you. Hallelujah.

We are sanctified by the Holy Ghost, which gives us power. Faith gives us power, and the Holy Ghost gives us power. Romans 15:16, I hope that is the right Scripture, "That the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost," not the law of Moses.

The Gentiles are acceptable because they are sanctified by the Holy Ghost. If you are not a natural Jew, and God has had mercy on you, and you have received the Holy Ghost, you are sanctified. That means your mind is going to be purified, and you are going to move on and enter into this beginning process that is going to end in perfection.

Salvation is not the end, surprise, surprise, you have to get perfected, brethren. Glory to God.

We are sanctified by following the law of love. I Thessalonians 5:12-23, Hallelujah, "And we beseech you brethren, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake, and be at peace among yourselves, we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, support the weak, be patient towards all men, see that none render evil for evil unto any man, but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men. Rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit, despise not prophesying, prove all things, hold fast to that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you holy, and I pray God, your whole spirit and soul and body, be preserved blameless unto the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ."

Hallelujah. Glory to God. We are talking about preservation here.

We are moving on to preservation down here. Hallelujah. We are sanctified by following the law and when we do it, we are moving on to preservation. How do we do all of these things, when our carnal mind is yelling and screaming with envy and hatred and all kinds of poison? We have to purge ourselves, brethren, we have to purge ourselves.

II Timothy 2, Hallelujah. I think I wanted to comment on that a little more, on verses 12-23, let me go back on that. "Be at peace amongst yourselves, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, support the weak. Follow that which is good, pray without ceasing."

I do not know if you all know what praying without ceasing is. Praying without ceasing is not on your knees talking in tongues for three hours a day. Praying without ceasing is having a continuous open communication with the Lord, that every second of your life, you are open to hear his voice.

Praying is communication with God. Give thanks in everything. "Quench not the spirit." That is not just in service, brethren, that is in your own life.

"Quench not the spirit," let the Holy Spirit manifest. It does not matter if it is in your office, or if is out in the street. If God wants to manifest, let it go. Do not quench it, give Him the decision. Despise not prophesying, brethren. That is not just in church. That is just not open prophesying on the floor of the church.

If someone comes to you with a Word from the Lord, do not despise it. Try the spirit, if you doubt that it is God, pray about it, ask the Lord for another confirmation, but do not despise what God has to say to you, brethren. Prophesying is not just an exhortation, thus saith the Lord, I am going to give you great blessings.

Prophesying is the Word of the Lord to you, sometimes it is not pleasant. Sometimes He tells you something that you do not want to hear. Do not despise it, brethren, receive the Word, humble yourself, as for deliverance. Glory to God.

"Prove all things." Do not believe anyone that walks up to you with a word. Pray about it, God will give you other witnesses. Prove everything. If a voice tells you to jump off of the roof, you are not going to do it. If a voice tells you to leave a church, and you do it, you are a fool.

I am sorry, there is a Scriptural definition of a fool, you better make sure it is God. "Hold fast to that which is good." You cannot hold fast to that which is good, when you despise the Word of the Lord when it comes to you for correction. When the Word of the Lord comes to you for correction, and you separate yourself from it, you separate yourself from God, and abstain from all appearances of evil.

"So that the very God of peace sanctify you holy, your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless until the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ." Hallelujah, Glory to God.

How do you do this? By purging yourself. II Timothy 2:19-23, "Nevertheless, the foundation of God standing sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are his." You can have confidence, "The Lord knoweth them that are His, and let every man that nameth the name of Christ, depart from iniquity."

We have to stop sinning in our minds, brethren. Your behavior is not going to "cut it" in the new covenant. "But in a great house, there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and earth, and some to honor and some to dishonor." What is gold and silver?

Gold and silver. Gold is the deity of God. That is the spirit that God gave you. Silver is redemption. Earth and wood are your soul man. Earth is your soul and wood is your body.

We are cut out of a tree. The Scripture says we are trees. The earth and the wood vessel is not an honorable vessel. It is weak. Hallelujah. They are not sanctified, and meat for the Master's use, and prepared for every good work. Hallelujah. Purge yourself of every evil work. That is deliverance, brethren.

It starts with right thinking, acknowledgment that you have...I am sorry, it starts with the impartation to your mind of right thinking. It is followed by a recognition that you have had and been living by wrong thinking.

It is followed by a repentance, and then very often, although not always, there can be the casting out of evil spirits if your wrong thinking has produced evil fruit in your life.

Sometimes it is the result of a damaged soul. You have to ask God, glory to God. Purge yourself, and you will be sanctified. Glory to God.

I Thessalonians 4:3-4, "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication, that everyone of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor."

We have to possess by the spirit man that we are, we have to possess our soul and our body in honor. That means no fornication. Brethren, the easy part is physical. God is talking about mental fornication. We have to stop fornicating with our carnal mind.

If you cannot do it, you have to cry out to God for help, and say, "God, my carnal mind is overtaking me, Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, in my own mind is causing me to sin, help!" We have to do this by His power. We cannot do it by ourselves, glory to God.

We are sanctified when we abstain from fornication, spiritual fornication in our mind. The result of fornication, obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.

I Peter 1:1-2, this is written, "To the strangers who are the elect according to the foreknowledge of God, the Father, through the sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience, and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ."

We have already talked about obedience, that is, obedience to the Word of God. You cannot be obedient to the Word of God if you do not know what it is, and that is obedience for the purpose of ministering by His Spirit to the world.

We are sanctified by obedience to the Word. We have to know what it is to submit to it, and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.

We already touched on this tonight. When Jesus Christ was glorified and went up to the heavenlies, and poured His Spirit upon all men, He is reigning on the human race right now. He is sprinkling on the human race, and if you have the Holy Spirit, He has sprinkled on you.

The word blood refers to His soul life. His soul life has sprinkled upon you. His blood, His sacrificial blood, which is pure and without spot, is upon your soul. You are justified before God, but that is not the end of it. You are justified before God, you have the cover of righteousness, but we have to get the real thing, brethren.

To be delivered from torment, you have to get the real thing, conversion of your soul unto the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. Glory to God.

We are talking about the results of sanctification, it enables us to be obedient. Remember, sanctification is the separation of the thoughts of God from the thoughts of the carnal mind. It enables us to obey the law of God, because we can tell when it is Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, speaking to us, and when it is God. Hallelujah.

Another result of sanctification is salvation. II Thessalonians 3:13, "But we are bound to give thanks, who hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of the spirit and belief in the truth."

Sanctification results in salvation. Sanctification which results in the belief of the truth, results in salvation.

The word "salvation" is Strong's #5083, and it means "rescued." It does not mean that you are perfected. It does not mean that you are incapable of sin. It really means that you are rescued.

If somebody is drowning, let us take a deep sea diver who is down under the water, and his air hose broke. What do they do? The first thing is that they get him on a boat, they throw him in a decompression chamber. He is being rescued, but he is a mess.

He is up on the boat. He is being cared for when he comes out of the decompression chamber. He goes to the hospital, or to sick bay, whatever you want to call it, he could be sick for weeks, but he is rescued.

Rescued means that you are grabbed out of the danger area, but you need all kinds of work to fix you up.

Sorry, brethren, if you have had a salvation, you most likely are a mess. That is not the end of it. Sanctification leads to preservation. Glory to God. Hallelujah.

Salvation is the imputed anointing, by the way, it is the imputed anointing. We are also called to preservation, which is the imparted anointing.

Jude 1, "To them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved."

The Greek word "preserved" is Strong's #5083, and it means "a guarded fortress." It means you cannot be impregnated, no more spiritual fornication. You are protected against spiritual fornication. There is a defensive wall around you, you are a defensed city, but you are still not perfected.

Through sanctification, we are also called to perfection, which is the glorification, and that is Strong's #5048. It means "to be completed, to be consecrated, to be finished."

Hebrews 10:14 says, "For by one offering, He has perfected forever them that are sanctified." He has perfected us for the life of the ages by His one sacrifice, but it has to be made real in your life.

We have a lot of church people thinking that they are perfected. It has to be made real in your life. It has to be appropriated, brethren. In the spiritual realm of the heavenlies it happened, but if you are dying, if you are sinning, it has not been made real in your life yet. Glory to God.

We are called to perfection. This is the finished process, by which we can never slip backwards. We could never sin again, and we have all of the glory of spiritual realm.

The Scripture says, "Eye hath not seen and ear hath not heard what God has in store for us, when we become perfected." Glory to God. Salvation is only number two on the list. I personally do not even know anyone that is preserved yet.

I have evil spirits breaking through my defenses. It does not happen that often anymore. I have to put up a really tough fight sometimes, and sometimes I am overtaken. I am not preserved yet. I am sorry, I have been rescued, I have been sanctified, my thoughts have been separated out, and I have been rescued. I am in the process of being preserved.

God keeps building His armor on me everyday, but I do not have infallible armor, I get knocked down. I get knocked down physically. I get sick, and I get knocked down spiritually. I lose my cool when I am provoked. I am in the process of being preserved, Hallelujah.

We all look forward to being perfected. There is no backsliding from perfection. That is what we are headed for. Glory to God.

I just want to take one minute, we are just about finished with this question of can we backslide, can we lose our salvation, can we lose our sanctification? There is so much controversy over this, and I want to tell you that you can lose it, brethren, right up to here. Until you are perfected, you can lose it.

I want to look at Hebrews 10:29, to show that to you. Glory to God. "Of how much sorer punishment suppose ye." Let me go back to 28, "He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified."

He was already sanctified, "an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the spirit of grace?" You know what that means, brethren?

This is a very controversial Scripture. What it means is, we are talking about a believer whose thoughts have been separated. They know what is right or wrong. They have received the Holy Spirit, they have experienced miracles. They have had the Son of God ruling in their life, and they have willfully chosen sin, and the result of this is judgment.

There is nothing left unto you but judgment, and you can lose it, it says it right here.

The next Scripture 30 says, "For we know him that sayeth, vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense saith the Lord." If the Son of God has risen up in you and put the carnal mind, your soul realm, underfoot, the Son of God is ruling in your life.

You have bruised Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, under your feet. If you have authority over your emotions, even eighty percent of the time, and you are tempted and you do not resist, and you willfully fornicate in your mind, what you have done is trodden the Son of God underfoot.

If this is your soul when it first starts out, this is the thoughts of God, and this is the thoughts of your carnal mind or Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, whatever you want to call it. We are not going to get to technical tonight, this is what you look like, this is what your soul looks like. It is a mess.

When you are sanctified, I do not know that this is what it looks like. This is just to make a point. This is what you look like. You have the thoughts of God over here, and the thoughts of Satan over here. Actually I should have done it this way.

MESSAGE 2

This is Christ up here, and this is Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, down here, and you see Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, is bound, because the righteousness of Christ is stopping him from bringing death and sin into your life.

You are not perfected yet. He can still impulse thoughts. Let us say this is your consciousness up here. It is hidden in Christ, and a thought gets impulsed into your mind, and you do not fight it off. You say, "I really want that guy, or I really want that woman, and I do not care. I want it and I am going to do it."

Instead of implementing the power of Christ, and saying, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus, get down. I am crushing you and destroying you by the power of God," instead of that, if you fornicate with that, what happens to you, is this. This is what happens to your soul.

Now, you are in trouble. You have tread the Son of God underfoot, you have put Him back down underfoot. When you do something like that you are playing with fire, because you are not just doing it for that one little act of fornication.

What has happened, is that you have given Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, authority over your life, not only in that area of that particular incident, but you have led him out of his cage.

He is in a cage, Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, is bound. He is going to be bound in the bottomless pit.

The bottomless pit is underneath Christ. If you let him out with one little mistake, this is what happens to you, and you are right back where you were. You have lost all of your power to stop sinning.

If this is your mind up here, He is just impulsing thoughts up to you. You are powerless to stop, because your power is in Christ, and He is down here in the bottomless pit.

Jesus says if you make that mistake, if you are foolish enough to have tasted all of the good things of God, to experience His power and deliverance and be so ignorant, if that is the correct word, as to yield to temptation, when you are in a place where you can implement the power of God to fight it off, what happens to you is this. The only thing left for you is judgment.

The judgment of God has to fall on you so that this can be dealt with. It is not that God is unjust, but there was a weakness, there is something wrong in you.

If you come this far with God, that you are in a place that you can implement the power of God to help yourself, and you willfully choose not to do it, there is something very wrong in your soul. Even though Christ is on top, there is either a curse working in your life, or something really powerful that could make you so reprobate. There is something wrong.

God lets you come back into this condition, and He just pours down the judgment on you. The result of that judgment is that it is going to wipe out that curse. In a situation like that, I personally believe that it is a curse. The curse is so strong that you want it even though you have the power to fight it off, and God pours down the judgments on you.

It could take a long time, brethren. He will restore you. You will come back to this position after judgment, but it could be pretty bad, and it could take a very, very, very, long time.

The Scriptural definition of fool...you are a fool if you do that, and the Scripture says the only treatment for a fool is to take a rod to his back, and the rod of God is judgment.

This is what it means to tread Christ underfoot. He is on top, giving you authority and power over the Satanic realm, and because of an act of ignorance and selfishness, that you just want that thing, this is what happens to you, Christ is tread underfoot, and the judgments of God fall on you again.

This can happen right through preservation, because preservation is a defensed city. You were defensed over here. It was not that the demons or the curse broke through, and you were not strong enough.

You looked out over the drawbridge of the mote of your city, and you said, "Oh, that is a nice looking woman, come on in," spiritually that is what happened.

It can happen right through preservation, even though you are a defensed city. You can yield to temptation. We have to get to perfection and that is the glorification of the body, and I think that is quite a ways away.

Right now, the people in this room are trying for preservation, and the people out in the world are trying for salvation. A lot of people in the church world are still trying for sanctification. I do not know about the people out in the world trying for salvation.

You know sometimes we have definitions of these words, and they are really not Scriptural. This is not even for the people out in the world, I should not have said that.

There are people in the church world who are not even sanctified, their mind is a mess. They really go out there and think that if they steal money that it is all right. They think that if someone offers them something illegal that God sent it to them. They are not even sanctified.

I got an extra hundred dollars in my withdraw envelope. I had to give it back. I grit my teeth all the way back to the bank, but I had to give it back.

If something like that happens to you, and you do not give it back, you are not even sanctified. You do not even know what is right and wrong. If you walk into somebody's house and you really believe that because they are a believer that everything in that refrigerator is yours for the taking, you are not sanctified in your mind.

I do not care whether you have the Holy Ghost or you speak in tongues, I do not care what you do. If you think that whatever another believer has belongs to you because you decide you need it, you need sanctification in your mind, because it does not work that way.

They do not have to give you anything unless the Lord tells them to, or which results from a godly compassion for you.

If you are that kind of person that goes from house to house looking for what they want, it is not likely they are going to have a Godly compassion for you.

Salvation is the rescue. I guess I put that in the wrong order. This really should be 2, and that is where I got confused, this should be 1. Salvation is the rescue. There are people in the world that have not been rescued yet, and there are people in the church that have not been sanctified yet.

The world does not have salvation yet, most of the church is not sanctified yet, and there is a small group in the church that is moving to preservation.

Brethren, even if you are preserved, you can fall away because of a curse operating in your life. It is going to make you want something so bad, that you are going to go and get it even though the power to resist it has been imparted to you. It is possible. You cannot ever let your guard down.

Perfection is the glorification of the body. I do not know, it could be thousands of years away. You know that God works in time sequences. You could not receive the Holy Spirit before He poured it out on the apostles, right?

Now anybody that God wants to give it to, can get the Holy Spirit, but you could not get it before He did it the first time. You could not get it before He made it available to everybody.

Well, you cannot get your glorified body until God makes it available.

This is the plan. Israel, actually Abraham is in there, but I am not going to bother with him. First, He went to Israel, then He sent Jesus Christ, made salvation available to the world, then He poured out the Holy Spirit on the apostles.

Now, He is pouring out sanctification, and preservation, depending on where you are in God. The hour is at hand where you can get preservation through deliverance and healing.

To the best of my knowledge, and I could be wrong, but to the best of my knowledge, glorification is not yet available. These are all time sequences.

Before God called Israel out of Egypt, the law of Moses was not available. Before Jesus died on the cross, Jesus Christ was not available, and His work on the cross. Before He poured out the Holy Spirit on the apostles, you could not get it. At some point sanctification became available to people.

I was watching a movie the other day, I could be wrong about this, but my opinion is that the Christian world for two thousand years, back in the eighteenth and nineteenth century, they knew the Bible. They read it, they knew it backwards and forwards, but they were wicked people.

I did not see any sign of sanctification in the minds of these people in this movie that I saw, but they were sprouting Scriptures all over the place. I could not believe their knowledge of Scriptures, but there was no kindness in them at all, no sanctification, back in the eighteenth century.

Some where along the line, I cannot tell you where, sanctification became available to men, probably somewhere around the, I do not know, and I do not want to guess.

Sanctification and preservation are available to believers today if God has called you to it. I do not believe it is available to the masses, just small groups. To the best of my knowledge, glorification is not available. You have to get in the time frame, to even be eligible for it. Amen? Glory to God.

COMMENT: I have a little confusion about what the soul is? You said it is the mind, the will, and the emotions, but that is a spiritual thing, and I did not understand how Jesus could get the seed. I understand how Jesus can get the seed of David, but I cannot understand how He can get the body. I do not understand how He can get the soul from David.

PASTOR VITALE: What we get when we are born we..."How can i explain this Lord?" The only thing that comes from the heavenlies is the spirit. The soul is made out of the dust along with the body.

The soul...the flesh is the soul and the body, and it comes down on the family line. If you have a child that has a tendency towards temper tantrums, that is an inherited characteristic in his soul. The body and the soul are inherited, it is a part of the natural man.

COMMENT: That is what I am trying to understand myself. If the mind and will and emotions are a spiritual thing, then you are saying like the soul is dust and earth, that is a physical thing in the realm of appearance, is it not?

PASTOR VITALE: The soul is in the realm of appearance.

COMMENT: I just cannot connect it, maybe I am not explaining it right.

PASTOR VITALE: I am having trouble understanding your question. You do not understand how Jesus inherited a soul and body, is that what you are saying?

COMMENT: No, I am saying everyone inherits a soul and body, but I thought that the soul had come from God.

PASTOR VITALE: I see. You thought the soul had come from God. "Father give me wisdom to answer her question, please."

The soul was God's creation. The only thing that existed in the heavenlies before the foundations of the earth was the Spirit of God, and all of us that were spirit.

The soul was a gift, and what God created, that whole series that we did on creation was the formation of the soul of man. God created one living soul, and He made it in many members.

When God wants one of these members to appear on the face of the earth, God is up here, He gives the instruction to this member, and the member comes down here. This is mind, will, and emotions.

Mind is the spirit of man, rational thought. Emotions is the soul, the human soul, and the mind and the will are the spirit. The mind and the will is the spirit that Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, uses to say, "I will do what I want to do, despite the will of God."

This is the satanic realm. His will is opposed to the will of God. This is the emotions, this is lust that causes us to sin.

That is the nature of the creation of God. The soul was created to be possessed by the Spirit of God. In other words, it is for God's use. It is like I would want to put on a rain coat and wear it, but the rain coat had a mind of its own.

The soul has a mind, a will, and emotions. It has a will, and a life, and an intelligence of its own. The ultimate purpose of God is to overshadow it and utterly possess it . This is the soul, this is the purpose of God. He is going to overshadow it, and utterly possess it, mind, will, and emotions.

He is going to show His life through the mind, and the will, and the emotions. "Oh God, help me to explain this."

The soul is the mind, will, and emotions, but is being ruled by Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind. God wants to impress His Spirit onto your emotions. He wants to impress His Spirit onto your will, and onto your thoughts, so that your emotions are going to be His emotions, and your will is going to be His will. Am I making any sense to you at all?

In this interim period between when God created the soul and when it is impressed with the Spirit of God, completely overtaken with the Spirit of God, it is living in an existence of its own. It does have a mind, will, and emotions separate from God, but God is apprehending it.

He is overlaying it, and He is going to show His nature through your emotions, through your mind, and He is going to show His nature through your will.

When He totally overshadows your will, you are no longer your Satanic realm. Your will is no longer going to be saying, "I do not want to do that." Your will is going to be saying, "I want to do what God wants me to do." Does that make any sense to you at all?
