Praise the Lord.  I do not now or ever mean to mock anybody or anybody’s belief, brethren, but the truth must get out to the church.  The communion that the Scripture speaks about has nothing whatsoever to do with crackers and grape juice.   I will start this message by showing you that there are two communions.

There is a communion of darkness, and there is a communion of light.  I suggest to you that the communion which involves the physical ingestion of physical food is the communion of darkness.

How could you say that, Pastor Vitale?  Because that is what the heathen does.  They may not call it by the word communion, but there is a Japanese communion, and there is a Chinese communion.  Why do you call it a communion, Pastor Vitale?  They sit around in a circle, they sip wine, they eat little cakes, and they talk about how good god has been to them.  They eat and they drink, and they talk about how god has been good to them.

Eating and drinking physical food and drink is associated with just about every pagan festival but, brethren, we are spiritual.  We are called to be spiritual.  Our fellowship is not carnal.  It should not be, anyway.  It should be spiritual.

You are called to spiritual fellowship with each other, and we are called to spiritual fellowship with the Spirit of Christ.  We must worship God in spirit and in truth.  We must seek the Spirit in every aspect of our life.  We are spirit, and we are called to be spiritual.

You tell me how eating crackers and grape juice makes you spiritual?  It does not.

As I told you earlier on a message that we are not going to publish, a recent revelation came down that when Paul said, Physical exercise profiteth little, he was not saying that we should not build up our body.  He was saying that physical exercise cannot make you spiritual.

He said that when you pursue the things of the Spirit, you receive the things of the Spirit in this age and in the next.  Yoga can make you spiritual.

Paul did not say that physical exercise is of no use at all, even for spiritual things.  Yoga and other such physical disciplines in the pagan religions and in heathen religions do lead to the spirituality of this world.

Paul, by saying that physical exercise profiteth you little, is actually saying that the highest that you can attain in this world through physical exercise, through yoga and like disciplines, is little compared to the degree of spirituality that is available to us through the pursuit of the Spirit in Christ Jesus.  Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.  Brethren, in the Old Covenant, the priest offered the sacrifice, and they ate of the sacrifice.  I have told you this before.

Let me put it on this message.  There are two levels of wielding spiritual power.  There are two levels, two major levels of spiritual power.  This is true of both the Spirit of Christ and of the spirit of this world which is Satan.

There are two levels of spiritual power.  The lesser level of spiritual power requires paraphernalia.  If you are in Satan’s camp, it requires dolls to stick pins in, rattles, blood to drink, spices or whatever they use to mix their potions in witchcraft, and candles.  Candles are a very big activity in the lesser level witchcraft.

I, by no means, intend to denigrate the lesser level of spiritual power, whether it be in Christ or whether it be of the world.  Spiritual power that is wielded with paraphernalia is very powerful.

What is the paraphernalia of the spiritual power of God?  Can anybody tell us?  What is the lesser manifestation of spiritual power in Jehovah’s household?

Today, Jehovah is manifesting Himself to us as the Lord Jesus Christ.  Everybody is looking at me.

What was the paraphernalia in the Old Testament?  What paraphernalia did the priests use?

COMMENT: They had a vest, the Thummin and the Urim.

PASTOR VITALE: Well yes, that is true, but I did not have that in mind.  They wore something around the neck.

            COMMENT: They drew lots.

PASTOR VITALE: Yes, they cast lots.   Even more obvious than that, what I had in mind was animal sacrifice.

As I have told you many times, there are two measures of the Old Covenant.  The New Covenant is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

The New Covenant is a one hundred percent spiritual covenant.  It is Christ Jesus in you, living through you, thinking every thought through you, speaking every word through you, and organizing and arranging every motive that arises in you, every step that you take and everything that you do.  That is the New Covenant.

There is no law for a righteous man.  When Christ is in you, completely living through you, you will do no wrong.  Every thought that you think, and every act that you do will be righteous, and you will defeat death because this continuous righteousness flowing out of you will utterly put to bed, put to rest and nullify, the sowing and reaping judgment in your life.

If no sin arises out of you, Satan loses her power over you.  Every evil thing that happens to us is a result of the sowing and reaping judgment, because we cannot cease from sin because of this carnal mind that we are born with.

Jehovah’s grace to deliver us from this sowing and reaping judgment, which we could never ascend out of in our own strength, is to send us the Lord Jesus Christ and to give us the Mind of Christ so that we can transfer all of our thoughts and motives into the Mind of Christ, thereby stop sinning, thereby nullifying Satan’s power over us.

Jesus said, The prince of this world cometh, and he has nothing in me.  Jesus did not have any thought that was sin.  All the way into the depths of His unconscious mind, where all thought originates, Jesus was pure.  That is the New Covenant, brethren.

The church is not in the New Covenant.  Do not stop reading this book or listening to this message.  You are not in the New Covenant.

The Old Covenant came in two phases. First, to the Jew and then to the Greek.  The second phase of the Old Covenant, which went to the Greek, is different in form, not different in principle, than was the first phase which went to the Jew.

Not different in principle, because the principle of the Old Covenant is deliverance from the sowing and reaping judgment by an act of faith.

Under the Old Covenant, if you obeyed the law of Moses, and you arranged to have the necessary sacrifices made, Jehovah forestalled the sowing and reaping judgment.   They still died, but they led a decent, and honorable, and positive lifestyle in this world and were protected from their spiritual enemies.

By the time the Old Covenant went to the Gentiles, Messiah had appeared in the world.   The measure of the Old Covenant that went to the church is on a higher level than the Old Covenant that went to the Hebrew.

Animal sacrifices are no longer necessary, because we have the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is covering our sins.  Both the Jew and the Greek have each received their own phase of the Old Covenant.  They were all in the same place.

Our sins are forgiven by faith or under the protection of the Lord God, but there is still no eternal life.   If you think that eternal life is after your physical body dies, I will never argue with you, but I will tell you that I do not believe that.  All judgment is in the flesh so that we should learn to live after the Spirit.

The Old Covenant that went to the Greek is not as severe as the Old Covenant that went to the Jew, because the Jew suffered the hardships.  It was very hard living under the law.

Messiah arose out of Israel.   Because of Israel’s sacrifice, the church received an easier measure of the Old Covenant.  We are covered by the Holy Spirit, but both the Jew and the Greek have not received eternal life.

We are both waiting for eternal life.  Both the Jew and the Greek are waiting for the New Covenant: Christ in you, matured to the degree that He so completely covers and swallows up your sin nature that He becomes your new man, and that you are completely without sin, which nullifies the sowing and reaping judgment which is mediated by Satan.

Satan loses her power over you.  That is the New Covenant.

Under the Old Covenant, we hold our own against Satan, whether you are a Jew or whether you are a Greek.  We hold our own against Satan if we are walking with God.

We have protection here in the valley of the shadow of death, but the preservation of our soul, which is our personality, is only in the New Covenant.  Christ in you, so fully manifested in you, that He completely swallows up your carnal mind, that is the New Covenant.

The church is not in the New Covenant.  They are in the second phase of the Old Covenant.

I do not know how I started talking about this, this message is communion.  I was talking about living in the Spirit as opposed to living in the flesh.  There is a communion of light and there is a communion of darkness.  Communion is taken in the pagan and the heathen world.

The communion of our physical body with physical food, is that not the communion?  You take crackers and grape juice, which is organic, and you put it into this organic body.   The communion is between your physical body and physical or organic food.

Is this the communion of Christ?

The name of this message is, And The Communion Of The Holy Ghost Be With You All.

That is a Scripture.  Communion is with the Holy Ghost, but let me finish my point.  There is a communion of light, and there is a communion of darkness.

What is darkness?  What are the two communions, one light and one darkness?  What does this mean?

There is a communion of the carnal mind, which is darkness, and there is a communion of the Christ mind, which is light.  Darkness is the carnal mind.  All darkness and ignorance is in the carnal mind, but the man who is enlightened partakes of the communion of light.

The communion of light is spiritual.  It is communion with the Holy Ghost.  You must worship God in Spirit and in Truth.  You must drink Jesus’ blood and eat His flesh.

Do you think He meant His physical blood and flesh?

Of course not.  What makes you think He meant a little cracker and a cup of grape juice?

He meant His glorified blood and His glorified flesh, Spirit.  His glorified blood being the Spirit of Christ, and His glorified flesh being the Mind of Christ.

Paul said to the Galatians, You started out being spiritual, how did you get to this carnal place? I am afraid for you, he said.

I feel that way about the church world frequently.  I see the practices they engage in, and I am afraid for them, that they actually believe this could be of God.

How could you start in the spirit?  How do you start in the spirit?  Was your conversion not spiritual?  Then you received the Holy Ghost.  Was that not spiritual?  Now, you are eating crackers and drinking grape juice?  You started in the spirit, and you are ending in the flesh.

Does this make any sense?  Why do you do it?  Why do you do it?  Because everyone else that you know does it?        Brethren, it is right out of the Catholic Church.  The communion of the Catholic Church is right out of paganism.

We are going to look at a few Scriptures, in particular the controversial Scriptures that have been translated in the King James Translation, to make this belief that the communion of darkness is for the Christian church and the believers.    I am hoping to enlighten you.  I pray that at the very least, whoever is going to hear this message or read this transcript, will be brave enough to say, Jesus, if this is true, I want you to tell me.  If it is true that the communion as the church takes it today is pagan and, therefore, an offense unto you, please tell me.

It is idolatry, and I will show you that it is idolatry.  If it is pagan and idolatrous and an offense unto you, by your grace, I will repent, I will stop doing it, and I will bear any persecution that comes my way because of it.

I pray that whoever hears this should have enough confidence in Christ Jesus to at least pray that prayer.

2 Corinthians 6:14; Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness: And what communion hath light with darkness?  (KJV)

Actually, if you want to get deep, we know that the word  what frequently signifies Elohim.  Who signifies Jehovah.  This is a deep spiritual principle.

If you want to look at it this way, Who is this God Jehovah and What is this Elohim?  If you want to take it from that point of view, you can say, Does Elohim have communion with darkness as well as with light?  Does Elohim commune with your carnal mind or with your Christ mind?

We see that the communion is with Elohim.  If you can not receive that, then we have the other Scripture which says, And the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all.  Communion is with the Spirit of God.  We must worship God in Spirit and in Truth.  We must worship Him with our Christ mind and in the spirit.

I did a word study on the English word communion.  In the New Testament, it is Strong’s #2842, and there are many Scriptures that contain this word, Strong’s #2842, where that Greek word is not translated communion.  It is translated fellowship.

Acts 2:42; And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers. (KJV)

That means they had communion.  They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and communion.  Communion is fellowship.

I want to tell you, brethren, that they are not talking about physical bread.  They continued steadfastly in the Doctrine of Christ and in the communion with the Spirit of Christ and the breaking of bread, the breaking off of what they had received and the giving of the crumbs of it to others, and in prayer.

What does breaking of bread have to do with studying doctrine and spiritual fellowship and prayer?  Why would bread be in there?

I suggest to you that it is not physical bread.  You have to read this with your Christ mind.

Whenever you see what looks like a carnal word together with three other words that are signifying spiritual things, you owe it to yourself and to the Lord to ask the Lord if this carnal word, physical bread, sounds like it is material bread, could it possibly be talking about spiritual bread?

What is the spiritual bread?  Jesus said, I am the bread that came down from heaven.  Christ is the spiritual bread.  Paul said, Ye are loaves.  Get the leaven out of your loaf.

Let us say you are not where I am, and you have a fifty- fifty choice; you could take this to be spiritual bread or material bread.

Why would you choose material?  Why would you not choose spiritual?

We are moving towards a more and more spiritual walk.  Why would you choose to think that it means material bread rather than the breaking of the bread from heaven within you?

We see that they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, that is the Doctrine of Christ, and the communion of the Spirit of Christ coming from the apostles.  Then they took what they had learned, the bread that was now being raised up in them and, with prayer, they delivered it to others.

What that means is that they did not deliver it to others out of their carnal mind.  They prayed, and the bread within them, Christ Jesus, led them to the people that they would dispense this spiritual nourishment to.

Communion is with the Spirit of God.

And the disciples continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, and they had fellowship, or they had communion with the Spirit of Christ in the apostles.  Then they took what they learned, and they went, and they broke it to other people.  They shared it with other people, as they were led, through prayer.

I remind you that prayer is communication with God.  Prayer is a conversation with God.  Prayer is not only you talking.  Prayer is God talking to you.  True prayer is a conversation with God.

Is your prayer one sided?  Every time I pray, God talks to me.  I talk to Him, He talks to me.

Are you having a conversation with yourself?  Are you praying with yourself?  Or are you having a conversation with the Lord?

If your prayers come out of your carnal mind, you are having a one-sided conversation.  Because when you pray out of your carnal mind, the Lord may answer you, He may not answer you, and He does not usually answer you right on the spot.

When you pray out of Christ, He frequently communes with you right there.  You pray, you open your heart to the Lord, and the Lord comes down and drinks out of your cup.

This physical body that we live in is a cup that holds spiritual life.  Sometimes the Scripture calls it a cup.  Sometimes the Scripture calls it a vessel.  Sometimes the Scripture calls it a bottle from heaven.

We are the earthen vessel that contains spiritual life.  When we open ourselves to God, when we put everything else aside and talk to the Lord, He comes and He sups with us.

Did Jesus not say that?  I will come in and sup with you.   Did  He not say, Knock on my door, and I will come in and I will sup with you?

When you pray, you call on the name of the Lord, and you should expect Him to come in and sup with you.

What does it mean to sup with you?  It means that He is going to partake of what you are talking about.  He is not talking about physical food.

Do you know that in pagan religions, they leave physical food for their gods?  In India, they leave food and milk at the altars for the gods.  Practitioners of Wiccan and other forms of witchcraft leave water around the house for the spirits.  That is the communion of darkness, material food and material drink.  We open ourselves to God, and we hope that He comes in and He sups, or He partakes of, or He eats, or He consumes our thoughts.

What does that mean?  What is consumption?  It is union, and communion is union.

He comes in, and He feasts on our mind.  Do not get all out of whack because this sounds so ghoulish in the flesh.  Jesus Christ is a Spirit.  He enters into our mind, He mixes Himself with our spirit, He partakes of us, and we partake of Him.

Once again, I tell you, it is spiritual sexual intercourse.  Brethren, when a man lies with his wife, there is a mixing of bodily fluids.

When the glorified Jesus Christ knows us as His wife, there is a mixing of spiritual fluids.  Every time we have communion with the Lord, He leaves more and more of Himself with us when He departs.

Of course, He never fully departs, but He departs from that intensity.  Communion is spiritual intimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ.  That is the communion of light.  Spiritual intimacy between Christ in you and either the Holy Spirit or the glorified Jesus Christ.  That is the communion of light.

Brethren, if you have access because Christ is in you, if you have access to this wonderful experience of the mixing of the spiritual fluids of the glorified Jesus Christ and your own human spirit, why in the world would you choose to take crackers and grape juice?

Look at yourself.  Examine yourself.  What are you doing and why are you doing it?  Praise the Lord!

Are you sure that you are not putting on a show for other people?  The Lord just told me to say that.  Are you sure you are not putting on a show for other people?

Because the true communion is in your mind and in your heart.  Nobody really knows.  That is your personal intimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 15:26; For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. (KJV)

That is interesting.

COMMENT: The Lord is speaking to me about this manna that we loathe and hidden manna.

PASTOR VITALE:As I just said off the message, the Lord did mention that word to me just a few minutes ago on this message, and I did not bring it up because my carnal mind got in the way. I guess I did not want to go in that direction.  I just have to repent.  It was just rebellion against what He told me to do.  As I have told you many times, if the leader does not obey Him, He will go to someone else who is in submission to Him and speak the word to them.  I thank God that He gave me another opportunity to obey Him.  Obviously, He wants me to talk about the hidden manna.

The time that He brought up the word manna to me was when I was telling you that What is the hidden way of saying Elohim, and Who is the hidden way of saying Jehovah.

The Hebrew word manna when it talks about the manna that the Hebrew children ate in the wilderness, that word is the Hebrew word for what.  They ate Elohim in the wilderness.

First of all, the Hebrew children survived spiritually by eating or consuming the hidden manna that is Elohim.

Our communion is with the hidden manna.  Our communion is with the Spirit of God.

Elohim, who is appearing to us today as the Lord Jesus Christ, He is our nourishment.  He is the Doctrine of Christ.  The hidden manna, the spiritual food, is the Doctrine of Christ.

The wine is the Spirit of Christ.  There is life in the Spirit and the Word because the Spirit of Christ and the Word of God, which is the Doctrine of Christ, builds the Word of God in us.

The Word of God in me can only help you minimally.  The Word of God must be growing in you.  You must be growing your own tree.  You must be more and more every day fed from the internalized Christ Jesus in you.

The true communion is the relationship between you, the personality, and the Christ Jesus within you.  Then when you have that relationship with Christ Jesus within you, the glorified Jesus Christ comes down, and there are two or more in the midst of you.

Is that a shock to you?  The original Scripture never intended to say that if you get two or more fallen men together, He will be in the midst of you.  That is not what it says.  It says that when you have two in the midst of you, when you have Christ Jesus, the Savior, in the midst of you and the glorified Jesus Christ, when there are two in the midst of you, He is going to move.

Two or more, and the more is when your personality comes into agreement with Christ Jesus in the midst of you and the glorified Jesus Christ.  Then miracles happen.

You, the personality, is not taking the lead.  It must be the thoughts and the purposes and the intents of Christ Jesus.  The Doctrine of Christ is the hidden manna that brings forth the Tree of Life in you.  The Word of God is the Tree of Life that nourishes you from within.

I have told you this many times, brethren.  The whole human race is pitifully dependent.  If we were truly alive, all of our needs would be met from within.

All of Jesus’ needs were met from within.  You could not have starved that body to death, you could not have caused Him to die from exposure.  He said, No man taketh my life unless I give it up, and He gave it up so that He could ascend into a higher plane from where He became the Savior of the whole world, not just of the Jews.

In the days of His flesh, He was the Savior of the Jews.  In His glorified condition, He is the Savior of the world.  Praise the Lord.

The Doctrine of Christ builds Christ in you.  You can only go so far in your spiritual advancement without the Doctrine of Christ.  You are saved by the Christ in the midst of you, but the Doctrine of Christ is the food that grows Him up in you.

Romans 15:26; For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. (KJV)

The Greek word translated contribution is communion.  That is very interesting because the King James Translation makes it sound like physical money or material food was given on behalf of the saints at Jerusalem that could not afford to feed themselves.

Does anybody perceive anything else in this Scripture other than that there were saints in Jerusalem that could not afford to buy food or that did not have food to eat, and the saints in Macedonia and Achaia sent them money or food?  Does anybody see that differently?

I think that as soon as you realize that the Greek word translated contribution is really communion, it changes the whole verse.

I start to wonder about the poor saints which were at Jerusalem.  To say that the poor saints that were at Jerusalem were poor, because they did not have food to eat or clothing to wear is a conclusion that you have drawn.

Every human being that does not have or has not received the Holy Ghost is poor.  Every human being who has not received faith in Jesus Christ is poor.  Everyone that does not have communion with the glorified Jesus Christ is very, very poor.

Do you want to know something else?  If Christ is not being formed in you, you are a widow, and you are an orphan.

I want to suggest to you that the saints in Jerusalem were not starving, but they had not received the Holy Ghost.  They had not yet received the spiritual mechanism within them which would enable them to commune with the Holy Ghost.

They were very poor.  Therefore, those of Macedonia and Achaia contributed the Holy Ghost to them. They sent the Holy Ghost to them.

You could continue to believe that material food was sent.  I would never argue with you, but I challenge you to be a spiritual person and to think spiritual thoughts.

For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain communion for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

What does that mean?  The saints at Macedonia and Achaia made a communion.  They took advantage of their ability to commune with the Holy Ghost, and when they communed with Him they said, Would you please have mercy on the poor saints at Jerusalem, that they should receive the Holy Ghost also.

They communed, they interceded on behalf of the saints at Jerusalem.  They made a communion for them.

Do you think they lit a candle for them?

They called upon the Name of the God that they had a relationship with, that they could call on at any moment knowing that when they opened that door by calling upon His name, He would come in and sup with them.

When He came in, and He heard what they wanted, I assure you He said, Amen.  I do not believe the Lord would ever turn down a Godly prayer, that the saints at Jerusalem should cease to be poor, but that they too should receive the riches which are in Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:9; God is faithful by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.  (KJV)

The word fellowship is a translation of the Greek word, Strong’s #2842, translated communion.  It means fellowship.   God is faithful, by whom you were called unto the communion or unto the marriage supper of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

What does that mean?  God is faithful.  He is faithful to give you the fellowship.  He is faithful to give you the communion.  You cannot commune with Him unless you have a spiritual mechanism within you that He will commune with.

I have a flash for you.  Jesus Christ does not commune with your carnal mind.  He communes with His Son in you.  You, at least, have to have the Holy Ghost if Christ is not formed in you.  The glorified Jesus Christ does not talk to your carnal mind.  He talks to the Holy Ghost in you.

You meet at the altar of the Holy Ghost.  Jesus Christ descends into your vessel and becomes one with the Holy Ghost and you, your personality, ascends, rises up, and communes with the Holy Ghost who is now mixed with the glorified Jesus Christ.

The fellowship, the communion, with the Lord Jesus Christ is spiritual.  It is fellowship.  It is spiritual intimacy through a mixing of the spiritual fluids of the mind.  God, the Father, is faithful, by whom you were called into communion with Jesus Christ in the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 10:16; The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?  The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?  (KJV)

This is the Scripture that most people stumble over.

We  are going to take a good hard look at it in a few minutes, 1 Corinthians 10:16.

COMMENT: I am just thinking of that Scripture, Blessed are the poor in spirit in reference to the saints which are at Jerusalem.

PASTOR VITALE: We see a Scriptural witness that the English word, poor, is speaking about someone who is humble in their spirit.

I am really glad that Scripture was brought up because that even gives me a deeper understanding into the Scripture that we just read, Romans 15:26, for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

Not only are they poor because they are lacking the Holy Ghost, but they are humble.  We now have a witness that poor means humble.  The Lord does not give the Holy Spirit to everybody that is lacking Him, but He does give the Holy Spirit to the humble of heart.

We see that poor means humble, even more than lacking.  The Holy Spirit is a great gift from God, and He is given to the humble ones that are waiting patiently.

We are working on 1 Corinthians 10:16, The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?  The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

To understand this Scripture, brethren, we have to go back to the verses before Verse 16.  I think I will start reading at Verse 1 in Chapter 10 of 1 Corinthians.  This is the King James Translation, and Paul is speaking.

1 Corinthians 10:1: Moreover, brethren, I would not that you should be ignorant, how that all of our fathers were under the cloud and all passed through the sea.(KJV)

10:2: And were baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea. (KJV)

Brethren, I want to suggest to you that Paul is not talking about the physical sea.  You were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud, in the spiritual cloud.

What this is talking about is that Moses had Elohim and the regenerated Adam within him.  Therefore, Moses was restored to the whole Godhead above.

There are two seas, brethren.  There are two of everything.  They were baptized into Moses.

What this is talking about is what I have told you before about Jesus, that Jesus’ disciples were gathered unto Him.  That Jesus was anchored into heaven through the Spirit of Elijah, who was anchored in Elohim, who was anchored in Jehovah.

Everyone who was in submission to Jesus was gathered into His high spiritual place.  That is what this is saying, that the people of Israel were gathered into Moses’ high spiritual place.  Moses was in the clouds.  He was in the spiritual planes of God, and the sea that they are talking about, it does not say the Red Sea.

I have not looked up the Greek on this word because this message is primarily communion, but I know that the Greek word that sometimes is translated sea is sometimes also translated lake.  What this is really saying is that our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea and were baptized into Moses, in the cloud in the sea.

I am not going to get into any more detail right now, because we will just be going forever on this message.

What the Scripture is saying is that their spiritual fathers were gathered into Moses, just as Jesus’ disciples were gathered into Him.  The cloud and the sea are spiritual principles. I know that the cloud is the mental plane because Revelation 14 says, He cometh with clouds.  We saw someone like unto the Son of Man sitting on clouds.  What that means is the glorified Jesus Christ is manifesting through the Mind of Christ.  The mental plane is the Mind of Christ, through the Mind of Christ of many men.

The cloud is definitely the Mind of Christ which is the mental plane of Christ Jesus.  At the moment, I do not know what the sea means, but I assure you it does not mean the Red Sea.  It has a spiritual significance.

What it probably means, off the top of my head, is that they passed over Jordan.  They were beyond death, but it was not permanent because we know that they all died.  At the time that Israel was in their heyday, they were beyond death.  All of them were walking in Moses’ perfection.  The ones who departed from Moses in their mind were bitten by Fiery Serpents, but everyone whose spirit clave unto Moses, so long as Moses was in that exalted position, was walking in preservation of their physical body, and of their mind, and of their spirit.  And all were baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea.  They were baptized in the anointing that was upon Moses.

1 Corinthians 10:4: And they did all eat the same spiritual meat; spiritual meat.  (KJV)

There is such a thing as spiritual food.   And they did all drink the same spiritual drink. We are baptized into Christ Jesus, I hope.  How come we are eating crackers and drinking grape juice?  Are we not baptized into the same spiritual meat, the spiritual flesh of Jesus Christ, which is the Mind of Christ?

Did all drink of the same Spiritual drink?  Are we not drinking of the Spirit of Christ?

Why are you eating crackers and grape juice when you have the Mind of Christ and the Spirit of Christ available to you?

Until Christ is formed in you, you have the Holy Spirit.  I am afraid for you, brethren.  You, who started out in the spirit, that you glorify the things of the flesh.  And did all drink the same spiritual drink, for they drank of that Spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.

If you are drinking of the Spiritual Rock, which is Christ, why are you drinking grape juice out of little cups?

Brethren, ritual is acceptable to the Lord until He elevates your ritual into the Spirit.  Once He elevates your ritual into the Spirit, you are not suppose to go back.

You are saying, Jesus said, do this in remembrance of me. We are going to get to that.  He never said take crackers and grape juice.  We will get to that on this message.

Verse 5: But with many of them [the people in the wilderness under Moses] God was not well pleased for they were overthrown in the wilderness.  (KJV)

Why was God not pleased with them?  Of course, this is the King James Translation, which is not always completely accurate.  It sounds like God overthrew them because He did not like them or some such thing.  That is not what it means if you look at it in the Interlinear Text.

They departed from Moses in their mind and in their heart, and they agreed with their rebellious and prideful thoughts, and they were overthrown.

Brethren, we are overthrown when we depart from the laws of God.  Satan has legal ground to overthrow us.

1 Corinthians 10:6: Now these things were our examples to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.  (KJV)

What do you think they lusted after?  Do you really think it was garlic and leeks from Egypt?  Do you really believe that the Hebrew children in the wilderness were overthrown because they lusted for garlic and leeks?

Brethren, they were slaves in Egypt.  Do you think Pharaoh was feeding them with garlic and leeks?  Not a chance!  It has to be a mistranslation.  Someday, I will do this whole Bible.

Not a chance, brethren.  What were they lusting for, the slavery of Egypt, the bondage of Egypt, the hard labor of Egypt?  No!  They were lusting for Moses’ office.  They were envious of Moses.  I tell you the truth.

These things were our examples to the intent we should not lust after evil things, lust for power, lust for prestige, as they also lusted.

1 Corinthians 10:7: Neither be ye idolaters as were some of them, as it is written, the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.  (KJV)

This is the King James Translation. The people sat down to eat and drink, and the Scripture says they were idolaters for eating and drinking.

What do you think they were eating and drinking?  Do you think the Scriptures call them idolaters because they were hungry, and they ate food, or because they were hungry and they ate manna?  No, brethren!  They were eating and drinking the communion of darkness.  I do not believe they were taking little crackers and grape juice in a beautiful round shining tin, but what I am trying to tell you here is that eating and drinking in the Scripture is spiritual, and it can be associated with idolatry.

If you are eating and drinking of the carnal mind, it is idolatry.  Jesus said, Knock on the door and I will come in and sup with you.  That communion is the communion of light.

When the carnal mind says, Knock on my door, and I will come in and commune with you, and you knock on that door and Satan comes in and sups with you, you have committed idolatry.  What does all this mean?  A spirit comes in and sups with me, and I committed idolatry?  You have just got me all upset, what are you talking about?

Brethren, eating and drinking in the Scripture, from a spiritual perspective, is talking about the sharing of ideas.  It is talking about thought.  Whose thoughts do you agree with?  Christ or the thoughts of your carnal mind?

We drink of the spirit that originates the thought, and we eat of the mind that we agree with.  If we eat and drink of the carnal mind, the Scripture says we are idolaters.

If it is true that it is your carnal mind that is telling you to eat crackers and drink grape juice, and that is what you are doing.  For you to eat crackers and drink grape juice, you must be agreeing with the thoughts of your carnal mind.  Therefore, eating crackers and drinking grape juice is idolatry.

If the true communion is spiritual intimacy of mind, why would the Lord Jesus Christ tell you to eat crackers and drink grape juice?  He wants you to knock on His door so He can come in and influence your thoughts.

Once He has this spiritual intimacy with you, do you really believe that He is telling you to perform a ritual of eating crackers and drinking grape juice?  I do not think so!

I think that when the Lord Jesus comes in and mixes His thoughts with your spirit, I think He gives you revelation, He gives you understanding, He heals your wounds, and He helps you to have mercy and compassion on other people.  He gives you assignments, and He sends you to other people to help.

How does eating crackers and drinking grape juice glorify Him?

I do not believe that is what the Lord Jesus, the glorious God of our salvation, has to say to us in spiritual intimacy with our mind.  Brethren, He tells us His secrets.  In spiritual intimacy, He shares the secrets of His Kingdom with us.  He gives us knowledge and wisdom and makes us more like Him.  He gives us righteousness and the life of His Spirit.

The Scripture clearly says that if you stand around eating crackers and drinking grape juice, you are in idolatry, because the Mind of Christ never told you to do that.  The Mind of Christ is spiritual and is not engaged in any form of ritual other than, perhaps, water baptism, which I believe you should engage in as an act of faith.

Neither be ye idolaters as were some of them, as it is written the people sat down.  Remember, they were standing up.  When we are in communion with Jesus Christ, we are standing up, and when we stand up, the powers and principalities of this world are underneath us.  When we sit down, we recede to the level or less than the level of the powers and principalities of this world.

To sit down can also mean marriage.  That is what the significance is here.  The people sat down.  They were standing in Christ, but they sat down, they returned to their marital union with the carnal mind, and they ate and drank of her, and then they rose up to play.  They sat down, and then they rose up.

Does that not sound like the Scriptures we were translating on the on-line meeting this week?

Moses lost all his spiritual power, and then he received the power that was in Adam and Elohim.  They sat down.  They receded from their spiritual intimacy with God, and they, or the Fiery Serpent, rose up within them and bit them.

That word play, do not be deceived by that word play.  In another place, the Scripture says in the Old Testament, that mighty Leviathan that plays in the sea.

That word, play, is used in yet another place concerning the troops of David, I believe, or one of the Hebrew armies.  It means war games.  It means to play war games.   It could mean to play the harlot.

I hear where you are coming from, but in this instance it means to play war games.  They were standing up in Christ Jesus.  They sat down, and they ate, and they drank of the carnal mind, and the Fiery Serpent rose up and played war games against whom?  Who do you think the Fiery Serpent played war games against?

            COMMENT:Christ Jesus in them.

PASTOR VITALE: Yes, the Fiery Serpent rose up, joined with Leviathan, became the spiritual Pharaoh, the ascended carnal mind of the Hebrew children in the wilderness, and attacked the regenerated Adam, which is called Christ Jesus in the New Testament.

Verse 8; Neither let us commit fornication as some of them committed and fell in one day, three and twenty thousand.  (KJV)

Do you think some innocent young girl just blew into town and made it with her boyfriend?  What happened? Three and twenty thousand people?  Three and twenty thousand people made it with their boyfriends, and God killed them all?

No, brethren!  No, that is not what happened.  Three and twenty thousand departed in their mind from the leader that was holding them up.  Jehovah and Elohim and Adam were holding up Moses, and Moses was holding up the children of Israel, and they were envious of him.

They lusted for his power and his position, and they sat down because you cannot lust for the power and position of a God-ordained authority, or you cannot lust for anything and continue to stand.  Because when you lust, you let go of the righteousness of Christ, and you fall into agreement with your carnal mind, and you are no longer standing.  You are now sitting down.  Sit down, oh you Daughter of Babylon, sit down in the dust.

Standing means spiritual power.  They sat down, and they ate and drank of the carnal mind, and the Fiery Serpent rose up and joined with Leviathan and killed Christ Jesus within them, and this happened to three and twenty thousand people, if that is what the numbers mean.

Verse 9: Neither let us tempt Christ as some of them also tempted and were destroyed of the Fiery Serpents. (KJV)

Oh, so you thought serpents crawled out of the rock and bit them, and they died of snake venom?  I am sorry, brethren, that is not what happened.  Every man born of a woman is born with a spiritual being within him called a Fiery Serpent.  It is in the Scripture.

The Hebrew word translated Fiery Serpent is the same Hebrew word translated Seraphim, which are clearly spiritual beings.

The Fiery Serpent under the control of Christ Jesus sings holy, holy, holy before the throne of God, but the Fiery Serpent that is separated from Christ Jesus, because of sinful thoughts, bites the believer and her bite is spiritual.

That Fiery Serpent must come under the control of Christ Jesus.  When we, the personality, agree with our carnal mind, the Fiery Serpent receives the strength to depart from Christ Jesus’ control, and she bites us.  I hope not me or anybody here.

She bites those people, and they die but not necessarily physically.  They die to the spiritual life of God that is regenerated in them. As far as the Lord is concerned, spiritual death is death.  If we do not have Christ in us, we are dead as far as the Lord is concerned.  Get spiritual, brethren.  You are going to die in your carnality.

Verse 10: Now neither murmur ye as some of them also murmured and were destroyed of the destroyer.  (KJV)

They lusted, and they murmured.  They lusted for what their leader had, and they murmured because they did not have it.  They reaped what they sowed, and their spiritual life was destroyed by the destroyer.

Verse 11: Now all these things happened unto them for an example and they are written for our upon whom the ends of the world are come. (KJV)

What does that mean, the ends of the world are come?  Does anybody know what that means?  The Greek word translated world means age.

Brethren, if Christ is in you, and you are going on with God, Christ Jesus is the New Age.  There is a New Age in Christ in the form of the Mind of Christ and the whole man, Christ Jesus, who is coming forth in you.

If Christ Jesus is coming forth in you, and you are really going for it, if you’re learning the Doctrine of Christ and learning to recognize your carnal mind and using all the strength you have to confess the sins of that carnal nature and destroy her, the age of the carnal mind within you is dying.

The world that is coming to an end is the world of the flesh.  It is a spiritual age within you in the form of the carnal mind.  Christ Jesus is the New Age.  The age that we exist in now is called the divided age.  Because we abide in the carnal mind and, if we have Christ, we have two minds.

James said, You are double minded.  It is called the divided age.  The reason we are dead is because this carnal mind has departed from her true husband, Adam, and we died.  The New Age is reunion, synthesis, where all of the spiritual elements of our being are made whole, regeneration, reconciliation.  Reconciliation is not a shaking of the hands, like Hello, nice to meet you, we are friends again.  The fullness of reconciliation is talking about the complete re-mingling of all of our spiritual elements.  We are divided.  That is why we have all the problems we have.  We are divided from the household of God.

We are only partially restored in our present condition.  If we were fully restored, we would not be capable of death.  No one could kill Jesus.  The ones upon whom the ends of the world are come are the people that Christ Jesus is being formed in who are wielding His power to destroy their sin nature.

Verse 12: Wherefore, let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall(KJV)

That is right out of the Old Testament.  Better be careful if you think you are standing, because Satan is coming right your way to prove that you are not.

Verse 13-14: There has no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man.  But God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be able to be tempted above that you are able, but will with the temptation also make a way of escape that you may be able to bear it.  Wherefore my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.  (KJV)

Flee from eating and drinking the thoughts of the carnal mind.  Flee from lust and flee from murmuring.  Confess your sins and repent and reject the thoughts of your carnal mind and do not sit down, do not go backwards.

If Jesus stands you up, do not sit down so that the Fiery Serpent in you can rise up and join with Leviathan and kill Christ in you.  Eating and drinking of the carnal mind is idolatry.   Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

The very next verse says, The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?  And the bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

I want to suggest to you that those question marks should not be there.  There was no punctuation in the original Scripture, brethren.  It was all put in by the translators.

Oh, I left out a verse.  Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Verse 15: I speak to you as wise men.  Judge you what I say.  Try the spirit on what I say.  (KJV)

What does he mean, wise men?  I speak to you as wise men?  Paul is saying, I speak to you, he who has the ear of the Spirit, let him hear.  He, who has the wisdom of God, let him hear.  I speak to you as men who have the Mind of Christ. Try the Spirit on what I am telling you.

Verse 16: The cup of blessing which we bless in this communion of darkness is not the communion of the blood of Christ.  The bread which we break; it is not the communion of the body of Christ?  (KJV)

The blood of Christ, and the body of Christ is spiritual.  The cup of blessing which we bless, it is not the communion of the blood of Christ.  The Greek word translated blessings, Strong’s #2129, means eulogy.  Eulogy, that is a prayer for the dead.  It also means adoration or religiosity.

We know that the definition of religion is ritual and rite, and Jesus is not religious, and He is not into ritual.  That is why He had conflict with the Pharisees on every turn.  He opposed their traditions.  He broke the laws of their religion.

This Greek word translated blessing can be translated eulogy.  The religiosity of the death of Jesus.

Brethren, we are not called to celebrate His death.  We are called to celebrate His resurrection.  The Greek word translated blessed, which is very close, one or two notches up the road in the lexicon, means to speak well of.

This cup of eulogy, this cup of death that you speak well of, this is not the communion of the blood of Christ.  The bread which we break, it is not the communion of the body of Christ.  What bread do we break?  Is this talking about little crackers?

Verse 17: For we, being many, are one bread and one body, for we are all partakers of that one bread.  (KJV)

We see that the bread that is broken is spiritual.  For we, being many, are one bread.

We are one body of Christ, and we are spiritual.  One bread and one body, and we are all partakers of that one bread.  Listen, brethren, if we are one bread and one body with Christ, and those crackers really mean Christ, we are eating ourselves.  Brethren, it is a pagan ritual of death.  It is a eulogy of celebrating the death of our God.  Is that not the definition of the Roman Catholic holy Eucharist?  It is the celebration of the death of our Lord.  What are you doing?  And why are you doing it?

Verse 18: Behold Israel after the flesh.  Are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? (KJV)

Israel after the flesh, the Levite priests which eat of the sacrifices, they are identified with the altar of God.  What you eat, you identify with.  Brethren, what you eat in the physical, it is what forms the flesh on your body.  You eat healthy food, you have a healthy body.  You eat a poor diet, you most likely will have a sickly body.  The food of the mind, you identify with whatever you eat.

We have now established that eating and drinking in the spirit is talking about thoughts, ideas.  You drink of the spirit that originates the idea, and you eat of the mind that translates that original thought, which is in the spirit.  The mind translates it into something that your consciousness can comprehend.

Behold Israel after the flesh.  They ate the sacrifices of the physical animals, and they were identified with it.  The Levite priests were identified with the holiness that the sacrifices signified.

Do you know that the dark areas of Africa or the dark areas of Australia where you find cannibalistic tribes, do you know what their motive is for eating their enemies?  They cook the physical body of the men that they take in war and, they eat them.  Do you know what the motive behind it is?

They believe that by consuming the flesh of their enemies, they receive all of their intelligence and wisdom.

The priest of Israel ate the sacrifices that were sacrificed to Jehovah, and they were holy.  They had an imputed holiness for their service to the Lord.  The spirit that we commune within our mind is the spirit that controls our thought patterns.

You think you are your own?  You are not your own!  You must be a manifestation of the thoughts of one mind or another.  The spiritual food that you eat will manifest itself in the way you think.  As the physical food that you eat manifests itself in the way your body looks and takes form, the spiritual food that you eat manifests itself in the mind that is formed in you.

If you throw yourself into the Doctrine of Christ and reject the thoughts of the carnal mind, your mind will be converting every day more and more into the Mind of Christ.  Your thoughts will be holier every day that goes by if you agree with the thoughts of the Mind of Christ.

The carnal mind is the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.  You may not be an evil person.  You may think the good thoughts as this world perceives good thoughts, but we die in good thoughts as well as in evil thoughts.

We can only have life in righteousness.  Goodness is not righteousness.  Goodness is of the carnal mind, and righteousness is of Christ.

The Levite priests ate of the animal sacrifices and, therefore, identified with holiness because those animal sacrifices were sacrificed to Jehovah.

Verse 19: What say I then, that the idol is anything or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything?  (KJV)

You had a word of knowledge that you did not put on the message before.

COMMENT: I was thanking the Lord that I had been delivered from idolatry, and He said, No, you have not.  Your carnal mind is an idol.

PASTOR VITALE:Absolutely.  I think it is in Isaiah in the Old Testament that it speaks about the idol in your heart.  That is right, your carnal mind is an idol.  The personality is worshiping it, you and me, the personality.  We either worship the carnal mind or we worship Christ.  What is worship?  Worship is submission.   When we receive and agree with the thoughts of a mind, that is worship.

This verse, as I said I am really doing this very quickly.  The thrust of this message is communion, so I did not go into the Interlinear Text and really find out what this is saying.

What say I then, that the idol is anything or that which is offered and sacrificed to idols is anything, I am not really sure what that means and I am going to bypass it.  I do not think it is that pertinent to this message.

Verse 20:  But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils.  (KJV)

But we are talking about sacrifice and not to God, and I would not that you should have fellowship with devils.  Brethren, I do not think Paul was talking about physical sacrifices.  He said, Israel after the flesh.  Why did he not say, Gentiles after the flesh?  But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrificed. I guess I have to go in and look at that verse in the Interlinear Text.

I went in and I looked at Verse 19 in the Interlinear Text.  I want to review Verse 18 before I tell you what I found in Verse 19.

Verse 18: Behold Israel after the flesh.  Are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?  (KJV)

Do they not identify with what the sacrifices stand for?  What the Interlinear Text reveals about Verse 19 is this.  Paul says, What can I say then concerning the idols?  That Greek word, anything, really means any person.  What can I say about the people who sacrifice to idols?  He is saying, Who is eating who?

Listen!  The priests of Israel, after the flesh, sacrificed living animals, and the priests ate the flesh of the animals.  When you sacrifice to idols, Paul is saying, who’s eating who?  Are you eating the idol or is the idol eating you?  That is what it says.

The question is, who is the idol?  If Paul is talking about the Hindu practice, for example, (I do not think he was talking about Hindus here) but let us consider if he was talking about the Hindu practice of leaving cakes and milk at the altar.  I guess the Lord is telling me, even if he was talking about the practice of leaving cakes and milk in front of the idol, who is really eating who?  Is that idol really eating the food that you left, or is the spirit that is in the idol really eating you?

Pastor Vitale, is that not ghoulish?  No, it is not!  Jesus said, You have to eat my flesh and drink my blood.  He was talking about spiritual consumption.  You must drink of my Spirit, and you must eat of my mind.  Therefore, the life that is in me will be planted in you.

Paul is saying, if you feed idols, whether they be the idols of your heart through agreement with the carnal mind, if you agree with the carnal mind, let us take that first.  If you agree with the carnal mind, you are feeding the carnal mind, and the carnal mind is feeding you.

Remember, just ten or fifteen minutes ago, we talked about the Scripture that says, Jesus speaking, If you knock, I will come in and I will sup with you.  This supping that Jesus was talking about is a mixture of the spiritual fluids, and it is talking about spiritual intimacy, the mixture of the Spirit of the glorified Jesus with your human spirit.

It is spiritual sex, sex of the mind, and there is a mixing of spiritual fluids.   Paul is saying that when you have this intimacy with an idol, whether it be the idol of your carnal mind or whether it be an idol of wood, who is consuming who?

Listen!  When we sup with Jesus, there is a mixture of the spiritual fluids, but Jesus is not polluted by our polluted human spirit.  Brethren, the human spirit is polluted.  The human spirit in mortal man is polluted.  We must be delivered of all filthiness of the flesh and the spirit.

When there is a mixing of the spiritual fluids of the mind, Jesus is not getting hurt by the pollution of our human spirit, but we are receiving life, a literal spiritual blood transfusion from the Spirit of His mind.

Jesus is eating us.  He is not really saying He is going to sup with us.  He is not really saying He is going to eat with us.  He is going to eat us.  Did Jesus not say, If you are neither hot nor cold, I am going to spew you out of my mouth.

Brethren, we are carnal when Jesus comes to us.  Even me, with this glorious message that I have for you, my carnal mind is alive and well.  I long to see her dead.  Believe me, she is active.

When I have spiritual intimacy with the glorified Jesus, He is consuming my carnal mind.  He is eating her up.  The zeal of thine house has eaten me up.  The jealousy of the carnal mind consumes Christ.  Are you following me at all?

There are two minds.  They are trying to consume each other.  Now it is not eating as we think of eating in this physical body.  The word eat means to consume.  Fire consumes.  Our God is a consuming fire.  He is coming to burn up the carnal mind, and the only thing that will survive is the spirit.  All the earth is burning up.   When Jesus sups with us, He really eats us.  He eats our carnal mind.  Praise God!

Paul is saying, When you commune, when you give sacrifices to an idol, who is consuming who?  Paul is talking to these believers at Corinth, and he said further up above where I pointed it out to you in Verse 15, I speak to you as wise men.

James does talk about the devilish wisdom, but Paul is not talking about the wisdom of the carnal mind.  He is saying, I am talking to you people that have the Mind of Christ.   He says,When you commune with devils, who is consuming who?  Is Christ in you consuming the idol, or is the spirit in the idol consuming Christ in you?  Can you hear it?

Verse 20.  First of all, that word Gentiles, it is not there.  I really do not understand at this point why certain words that the King James Translators use are not in italics.  The word, say, is in italics.  That means there is no Greek foundation for that word.  It is an amplified word, which is legitimate translation license.  The word, Gentiles, is not found in any Greek word either, and that is not in italics.

As of this time, I do not understand why, but the Interlinear Text shows no Greek word that is translated Gentiles.  It is not there.   What is Paul saying?  But the things (because, I say, is not there either) but the things which you sacrifice.  It is not the Gentiles he is talking to.  He is talking to the Christians at Corinth.  He is not talking about the Gentiles.

I have a little Alternate Translation here.

Verse 20: But the ones (not the things) but the ones who sacrifice to devils, indeed, the ones who sacrifice to their carnal mind. (ATB)

Who is being sacrificed to their carnal mind?  Who is being sacrificed in them?  Christ!  He says, you are sacrificing Christ.  First, he asks them in verse 19, he says to them, If you are sacrificing to your carnal mind, who is consuming who?  Then I guess they did not answer him, and he says, Well, I am going to tell you the answer to the question.  When you agree with your carnal mind, you are sacrificing Christ.  No, not the Gentiles!   You!

And the ones who sacrifice to devils, indeed, do not sacrifice to God.  I would, therefore, that you do not fellowship with idols, that you do not have fellowship with devils.

What he is saying is that if you are listening to the thoughts of your carnal mind, you are listening to the thoughts of devils, demons.  That is what he says, and if you are listening to the thoughts of your carnal mind, you are listening to demons, and you are sacrificing Christ.

Verse 21: Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. (KJV)

You cannot drink of the cup of the Lord.  Brethren, in this instance, cup is signifying mind.  A cup is a vessel that holds liquid.  The liquid is the spirit.  You cannot drink the Spirit of the Mind of Christ and also the spirit that is of the carnal mind.  You cannot be partakers of the Lord’s food or the Lord’s Doctrine and also of the doctrines of devils.

Brethren, the church is filled with the doctrine of devils.  You cannot do both.  Why cannot you do both?  Because if you are playing the harlot, and you are entertaining the thoughts of both minds, the devils in your carnal mind will consume Christ in you.

This is all spiritual, brethren.  It has nothing to do with crackers and grape juice.  I do not think we will go on.  I think we have made our point here.

Verse 16.  The cup of blessing; the cup of eulogy; the cup of death, which we say good things about; it is not the communion of the blood of Christ.  And the bread that we break, it is not the communion of the body of Christ(KJV)

The communion of the blood and the body of Christ is spiritual.  It is spiritual!  It is spiritual intimacy with the Lord.  Praise the Lord!

2 Corinthians 6:14; But be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness?  What communion hath light with darkness?  (KJV)

Brethren, I want you to know that there are unbelievers in the church.  The Christian brethren are in all different levels of maturity and understanding.  I want you to understand that this being unequally yoked and not having fellowship with unrighteousness is just talking about the carnal mind.  Everybody has a carnal mind.

If you were not to fellowship with people who are in their carnal mind some of the time, if not all of the time, how will you ever minister to anybody?

This Scripture is not saying that you should forsake the gathering together of the saints.  This Scripture is saying that you should not give up what you know to be true in Christ for the sake of peace.  You can be fellowshipping with a brother or with a sister.  You can know them for a long time.  If they are offended because you will not take communion with them, and you yield to their pressure, to their demand, to their disapproval, to their distress, whatever it is they are manifesting, it is sin unto you.

You say, Oh well, I am supposed to get along with all of my brethren in Christ, and you sit down and take that communion with them, you are guilty of idolatry.  To you who know better, it is sin unto you.

The church is filled with ignorance today.  God is winking at all of the Christians who are eating crackers and grape juice because they do not know any better.  You, who know better, if you partake of this idolatrous communion of darkness because you do not want any unpleasantness in your life, you will receive many stripes.

Flee from idolatry, brethren, even if it costs you a relationship.  Do not worship idols, because if you worship idols, they will come into you.  They will sup with you or sup upon you, and Christ in you will be consumed.

I am telling you, I had a bad episode a couple of years ago.  I hope I never forget it.  When sin comes upon you, you do not even know you are under seduction.  It is very subtle.  To know this truth, that the crackers and grape juice is the communion of darkness and the sacrificing to the devils of your carnal mind who are telling you these lies, to know this is the truth and to do it because you do not want to be disliked, or you do not want a confrontation, that is your first step down the slippery slope.

I want to tell you, once you start going down, you are going to be blinded to it.  You will be blinded to it until you wake up one day in a really bad condition.  Not that the Lord cannot restore you, but who needs it?

2 Corinthians 8:4:  Praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the gift and take upon us the fellowship or the communion of the ministering to the saints.  (KJV)

Praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the gift.  What is the gift?  What is the free gift?  The Holy Ghost is the free gift.  Praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the Holy Ghost and take upon us the communion of the ministering of the Holy Ghost to the saints.  Pray for us that we receive the Holy Ghost so that we can give it to the other saints.

2 Corinthians 9:13: Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the Gospel of Christ and for your liberal distribution unto them and unto all men.  (KJV)

In the King James Translation of II Corinthians 9:13, the Greek word that’s translated communion is translated distribution.  Whiles by the experiment of this ministration (I am not really sure of what they are talking about there) they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the Gospel of Christ.  They glorify God because you have submitted yourself to the Gospel of Christ.  They also glorify God for your liberal communion unto them and unto all men.

Your communion of what?  The Gospel of Christ.   Whiles by the experiment of your ministration, they glorify God because you have submitted to the Gospel of Christ, and they also glorify God for the liberal communion unto them.  The apostles or the disciples (I am not sure who we are talking about here) that are ministering the Gospel of Christ.

Paul is praising God that the Corinthians have submitted to the Gospel of Christ, and for the liberal communion that the Gospel of Christ has been communed to the Corinthians by the Spirit that dwells in Paul.

Brethren, a communion is a sharing.  It is spiritual intimacy.  We are having communion tonight.  Every time someone preaches, there is communion.  The question is the communion of what mind?  You are sitting here in submission to me.  You are receiving what I am teaching you.  We are having communion.  If this is Christ in me preaching, which I believe it is, you are having communion with Christ.  You are having communion with the Gospel of Christ.

The Gospel of Christ is not the Gospel of the Cross.  The Gospel of the Cross is the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and His resurrection and the whole story about the man, Jesus.  The Gospel of Christ is the gospel of Christ in you, the hope of glory.  This is the Gospel of Christ.

Do not have communion with devils.  You are called to communion with Christ.  You, the personality, you are called to have communion with your Christ mind, not with your carnal mind.  Paul says that your carnal mind is a devil.

2 Corinthians 13:14; The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all. (KJV)

That is the title of our message.  The communion of the Holy Ghost.  There is communion with the Holy Ghost.  There is communion with the Spirit of Christ.  There is communion with the glorified Jesus Christ.  It is spiritual intimacy, brethren, one Spirit, many ministrations thereof.

Galatians 2:9; And when James, Cephas and John who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me (KJV)

(Paul speaking) They gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship that we should go unto the heathen and they unto the circumcision.  They gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of communion.

What does the right hand signify?  What is the spiritual significance of the right hand?  What is the spiritual significance of hand?  Yes, of the subconscious mind, that part of the mind which takes what it needs, which grasps.

Brethren, if you want to understand something in Christ, there is a part of your mind that lays hold of it and grasps it.  Our ability to understand spiritual principles is in the subconscious mind.  The right hand is the righteous subconscious mind.

Brethren, there are two of everything.  There is a righteous, and there is an unrighteous subconscious mind.

When James, Cephas, and John, who seem to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me (Paul) they gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of communion.

Christ in James, Cephas, and John communed with Christ in Paul and Barnabas, and the Christ in all of these five men agreed that Paul and Barnabas should go to the heathen, and that James, Cephas, and John should go to the circumcision.  There was complete agreement because Christ in all of these five men had communion.

Brethren, all division is of the carnal mind.   We are not supposed to be robots, and Christ will express Himself differently through different personalities.  People have different expressions, they have different experiences, they speak on different levels, but He will always say the same thing.  Christ always says the same thing.

If you have a disagreement with somebody, either one or both of you are in your carnal mind.  There is no reconciliation until the carnal mind is put down wherever she is appearing.  You cannot have reconciliation with someone’s carnal mind unless they submit to you.

Maybe they do not have Christ.  There is no compromise in righteousness.  I had someone come to me a few weeks ago and say, We will not talk about that issue.  What do you mean, we will not talk about that issue?  You cannot say that to Christ.  There is no peace without righteousness.

You cannot hold on to the thoughts of your carnal mind and have peace with me or with the Lord.  There is no peace.  God help us.

Ephesians 3:9; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God who created all things by Jesus Christ. (KJV)

And to make all men see what is the communion of the mystery.  Brethren, our Christ mind is our spiritual eye.  To make all men see the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God who created all things by Jesus Christ.

In order to see this, we have to have the communion with the mystery.  All mysteries are in Christ Jesus.  You will never understand the mysteries of God without communion with the Mind of God.

Philippians 1:5; For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now.  (KJV)

For your communion in the gospel.  They had communion.  Brethren, every time the Mind of Christ in you speaks to the Mind of Christ in somebody else, you are having communion.  I will tell you something else, every time your carnal mind speaks to someone else’s carnal mind, you are having communion.  Praise the Lord.

Philippians 2:1; If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies.  (KJV)

Fellowship of the Spirit, communion of the Spirit.  There is a communion of the Spirit, and there is a communion of the flesh mind, a communion of the spiritual mind and a communion of the flesh mind.  The communion which is of the Lord Jesus Christ is of the spiritual mind which is in Christ.

Philippians 3:10; That I may know him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.  (KJV)

The communion of His sufferings.  Brethren, communion is experience.  When our mind mixes with the mind of the Lord Jesus Christ, we not only receive His wisdom and His knowledge, we will have His experience.  How are we conformed to His death?

COMMENT:By dying daily to our carnal mind.

PASTOR VITALE:Our carnal mind has to die.  We are not conformed to His physical death.

That is a problem for you if you do not believe that Jesus had a carnal mind.  Jesus was born of a fallen woman, and He received a carnal mind from His mother, which carnal mind He brought into submission to the Spirit of Holiness that was within Him.  (Romans 1:4). He died to His carnal mind.  When we experience His sufferings, we too shall die to our carnal mind.  How did He suffer?  What does suffering have to do with Jesus?  He was made obedient through sufferings.  I think that Scripture says even the suffering of the cross, but I want to tell you that Jesus was not made obedient because He was nailed to a wood stake.  He was righteous when He was nailed to the wood stake.

How did He learn obedience through suffering?  He was nailed to the spiritual wood stake, the carnal mind.

Spiritually speaking, the carnal mind is made from wood.  The Christ mind in Jesus was crucified to His carnal mind.  There was a synthesis of the two minds.  In that synthesis, the negative aspects of the carnal mind died and fell away.  The spirit of the mind was joined to Christ.

Paul said, I am crucified to Christ.  I live, but yet not I, Christ liveth in me.  There is a spiritual crucifixion.  This is interesting, because someone just contacted me the other day and asked for messages on this issue.

Crucifixion is syntheses.  Christ does not die through syntheses.  The carnal mind who is divided from Christ dies through syntheses with Christ.  Christ dies when He is separated from the powers of the Godhead, from the Father in heaven.  Christ dies from separation.  Christ does not die from crucifixion.  You think Jesus died on the cross?  Even physically, did He die on the cross?  He was raised from the dead in a greater condition.  He is not dead, and His spiritual life never died.  His physical body died.  Jesus never died.  Christ Jesus, the glorious mind within the man, Jesus, never died.

Brethren, that is the whole point of the excitement of the crucifixion.  Jesus never died.  He made an open show of the powers and principalities.  They could not kill Him.  He did not die.

He breathed out of that physical body.  If you study it in the Greek, you will see that His Spirit did not depart from that body because the body died.  His Spirit departed before the body died.  The body died because Jesus breathed out of it.  He never died.  His house died, and He got a better house, a new tabernacle in heaven.

Wake up, wake up church, wake up church!  Time is running short.  Wake up!

We will have communion with His sufferings.  We, in this particular verse, the personality that is nailed to the carnal mind, will experience what Jesus the man suffered when He brought His carnal mind into submission to the Spirit of Holiness within Himself and nailed the two minds together.  Jesus, thus effectively killing, rendering utterly inoperative, His carnal mind so that He could continue to live as the true man, the spiritual man, without a physical body.

When the physical body was crucified, He just breathed out of it.  He never died.  If you can hear it.  Jesus!  Jesus!  Jesus!  We are waiting for you, Lord.  So much work to do, Lord.

Philemon 6:6; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus(KJV)

The communion of your faith may become effectual by acknowledging every good thing which is in you, in Christ Jesus.   Brethren, our faith is not worth two cents.  The faith of Christ Jesus within us is very valuable.  That faith comes through the communion of the personality with Christ Jesus, the communion of our faith.

Hebrews 13:16; But to do good and to communicate, forget not.  For with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (KJV)

But to do good and to enter into communion, forget not.  For with such sacrifices God is well pleased.  Do good, that is spiritual to do good to people and to communicate with the Holy Ghost.  Do not forget to talk to me, says the Lord.  Do your good works, but do not forget to talk to me.  With such sacrifices God is well pleased.

We see that communion is a sacrifice.  Is eating a cracker and drinking grape juice a sacrifice?  How?   How is the true communion a sacrifice?  Anybody know?

You cannot talk to God without letting your carnal mind have it.  You have to kill your carnal mind to talk to God, because if she can, she is going to kill you to stop you from talking to God.

Communion is spiritual intimacy with the glorified Jesus Christ.  The carnal mind is going to do everything she can to hinder you.  You have to punch her out and knock her down.  Sometimes that hurts.  Maybe the Lord is talking to you, and you want to watch TV.  You have to sacrifice the desires of your carnal mind.

Communion is spiritual intimacy with God.  It requires the sacrifice of your carnal mind which is the denial of self, and your own desires, and your own self interests.

You want to have communion with God?  Do everything He tells you, and you will have continuous, uninterrupted communion with God.

How do you get started?  As soon as you hear something that He tells you, do it right away and you will be hearing from Him more and more and more.  He is talking all the time, you just do not hear Him.  Your ears are closed up.

Why are your ears closed up?  The Scripture says that it is the adder whose ears are closed up.  If you are deaf, it is the Serpent in there that is shutting up your ears.

1 John 1:3; That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you that ye also have fellowship with us and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.  (KJV)

Truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.  They are Spirit, and they do not eat crackers and drink grape juice.  They commune with the spirit of your mind.   That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you that ye also may have fellowship with us.

Look brethren, once Christ is formed in you, the only true fellowship is with Christ in another man.  There is no true fellowship with your friend that is in their carnal mind, and the Holy Ghost is not Christ.   That is another story.

Once Christ is formed in you, the only true fellowship is with Christ in another man or with the Father.   You have become unequally yoked with everyone, whether they carry or read the Bible or whatever.  If they are living out of their carnal mind, you are unequally yoked with that person.

That which we have seen and heard, we are telling you about it so that you might have the same communion as we had with the Father so that Christ in you can commune with us. We commune with each other.  I can only commune with people who are in communion with the Father.  If you are in communion with the Father, then I can commune with you.  We have something in common.  We have the same bloodline.

1 John 1:6; Now if we say that we have fellowship with the Father or with His Son, Jesus Christ and we walk in the darkness of the carnal mind, we lie and we do not the truth. (KJV)

You cannot have communion with the Father or His Son, Jesus Christ, when you are in your carnal mind.  I am telling you, brethren, the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, is spiritual, and they are not eating little crackers and drinking grape juice.  If you are doing that, it is a ritual that is arising out of your carnal mind, and you are in darkness, and it is not the true communion, so you have received a lie.  You are in darkness, and you have believed a lie.

God is Spirit, brethren.  You must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.  Crackers and grape juice will not get you to God.

1 John 1:7; But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us all from sin. (KJV)

If we walk in the light, if we have communion with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, if I do that, then I have fellowship and communion with everyone else who is walking in communion in the light, who is having spiritual communion with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.

We can disagree on doctrine, but we could never disagree on issues of righteousness.  When there is disagreement on issues of righteousness or of issues of truth, someone is not in Christ.

If you really cannot believe what someone in Christ is telling you, there should be no argument or hostility of any kind.  If two people are disagreeing in an important issue like communion, the Scripture says it is idolatrous.  I will not touch it.

If there is someone that I am in fellowship with that does not believe this, we are both required to go before the Lord and humble ourselves and tell Him that if we are wrong, tell me.

When I pray this, I do not even say Please tell me, I say, I am begging you, Lord, if I am believing a lie, I want to be corrected, no matter what the price.  If you cannot do that, you are suffering from pride.

We now have a study on the word remembrance.  That is Strong’s #364.  We have four Scriptures concerning the communion using the word remembrance.  These are the Scriptures that most people use to back up eating crackers and drinking grape juice.

He took the bread and gave thanks and brake it and gave unto them saying, this is my body which is given for you.  This do in remembrance of me.  When He had given thanks, He brake it and said, take, eat, this is my body which is broken for you.  This do in remembrance of me.

After the same manner also, He took the cup when He had sup saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood.  This do ye as oft as you drink, in remembrance of me.  Finally, but in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

I want to start this aspect of the study with the Old Testament use of the word.  When I looked up Strong’s #364  translated remembrance, all it says is something that you remembered, but when we go back into the Hebrew, we see that the word is Strong’s #2142, and the Hebrew Lexicon says that this word translated, remembrance, means to mark.  It means the mark.

Everybody is worried about the mark of the beast.  Did you know that there is a mark of God?  The principle of mark in the Scripture is talking about nature.  The whole church is worried about a mark in your hand or your forehead.

Brethren, the Scripture is talking about the mark in your forehead which is the mind that you have, the nature of the mind that you have, and the way that you think.  The hand is talking about your subconscious mind.  In any event, it is talking about your behavior and your spiritual activities.  It is talking about your nature, the mark on your mind and the mark in your subconscious mind.

I am repeating myself.  Let me get this straight.  It is talking about the nature which is the spirit, which is the new mind and that is either Christ or Satan.  It is talking about your hand, which is your subconscious mind, the mark in your hand.  Either your subconscious mind is in the nature of Christ, or it is in the nature of Satan, the spirit of this world.

The mark in the forehead, the forehead is where the spiritual eye is.  This is where your spiritual sight is.  Your spiritual sight is between the eyebrows in the forehead.

How do we see?  I mentioned it earlier on this message.  Our mind is our spiritual eye.  We are talking about the nature of the mind that we have, and nature is in spirit.  The hand is talking about the subconscious mind, which is either in Christ or Leviathan.

In Hebrew, the word means a mark, so as to be recognized, to remember, or by implication to mention the word also means to be male.  There are several words translated remembrance in the Hebrew.  This is the one I chose.  I believe it is pertinent.

The spiritual significance of the word remembrance for us in this fallen world is that aspect of the Father which is still within us, even though the creation fell down and died.  That aspect of the Father is the human spirit.  When the Lord Jesus comes looking for His people, He is looking for the ones who are marked.

We are all marked.  He is looking for the ones who are looking for Him, the people who are searching for God, who have a hunger for God.  I am not explaining this very well.  I really wanted to finish this message tonight.  I do not know if I am going to be able to do it.  I will try again.

The remembrance is a mark that is on us so that the Lord can recognize us when He comes down into the earth looking for His people.  He is not recognizing His people by whether they have blonde hair or blue eyes, or whether they wear glasses or not, or by whether they are physical females or males.  He is looking for a spiritual mark on the people.

The spiritual mark is that breath of life, that slightest little response in us to God.  A desire towards God, that is what the Father is looking for.

Do you recall our messages on election and other messages that we had?  We recently translated some Scriptures in Ezekiel that were very exciting for me, personally.

When the Spirit of Elijah penetrated into the camp of Israel, Abel was buried deep under the ground, spiritually killed by Cain, but still having consciousness.  He was crying out, Abba Father, Abba Father, I see you.  Do not leave without me, I am here.

That is the mark of God that Christ is looking for in people.  He is looking for men who prefer Him.  He is looking for men who pursue Him.  He is looking for men who want Him.  That is what the remembrance is.  The term remembrance is talking about the capacity within a man to remember God.

Some men are so anti-Christ that they will never repent.  They will just die.  I was looking for God since I was ten years old.

The remembrance is the remembrance of God that God recognizes when He comes looking for us.  There is a communion between that mark in us, that remnant of Elohim’s Spirit in us that is crying, Abba Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ coming down as He begins to adopt us.

The reason that He has to adopt us is that we were sold to Satan.  All of humanity was sold to Satan.  That is why we have to be adopted back into the Kingdom of God.

There is a doctrine in the New Age, and it is in Buddhism and Hinduism.  It is all through the pagan religions.  Hinduism and Buddhism is not necessarily pagan.   Through all the non-Christian religions, there is a principle of memory.

There are a lot of people out there in the kingdom church preaching a false message, that all you have to do is remember who you are, and you will be restored to that high place in the spirit.  It is a false message because the carnal mind can never remember the things of the Kingdom of God.  The carnal mind can only remember the things of Satan’s kingdom.

Yet there is a truth in what they are preaching.  If we would just remember who we are, we will return to that high exalted place.  We cannot remember without the Mind of Christ.  We cannot receive the Mind of Christ unless it is grafted to us and imparted to us by the Spirit of Christ in another man.

Even when Christ is grafted to us, He is not going to remember anything until He overcomes Cain, and Leviathan, and Satan.  There is no way He is going to overcome the household of the Serpent that I just named unless that man is confessing his sins and repenting and following the discipleship program of Jesus Christ.

We see that this remembrance is our capacity to remember our life with God.  We saw this principle in our recent studies in Samson and Delilah.  It came forth in one verse, this is Judges Chapter 16, where the mortal men of Judah were being instructed, and they were told that if they yielded to Satan’s thoughts in their mind, that Satan would steal their capacity to be Samson’s disciple.

Samson was a teacher of God, teaching them the Doctrine of Christ.  Their human spirit, when possessed by Satan, deprived them of their capacity to comprehend the Doctrine of Christ that Samson was teaching them.

We see that this remembrance is talking about the Mind of Christ.  The Mind of Christ is that which gives us the capacity to remember life before the fall and thereby return to the Father.

We will go over a few Scriptures in the Old Testament that employ this word and this principle, remembrance.

Genesis 8:1, And God remembered Noah and every living thing and all the cattle that was with him in the ark.  And God made a wind to pass over the earth and the waters assuaged. (KJV)

And God remembered Noah.  God remembered Noah because the remembrance in Noah was reaching towards Jehovah.  That capacity within Noah to have communion with God was seeking Jehovah, and Jehovah remembered Noah.

God remembers us when we cry out to Him.  Have you ever lost track of a friend and forgot all about them until one day you got a post card?  They have been pursuing you and tracking you for years, and you get the post card, and you remember your friend.

Our capacity to have God remember us is Christ in us.  Because Christ in us cries out day and night, Abba, Father, and the Lord Jesus responds to that cry.

Genesis 9:15; And I will remember my covenant which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh and the water shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.  (KJV)

I will remember my covenant.  That is Elohim speaking.  He will remember the covenant that He made, and His covenant is within us when Christ is within us.  We recently read the new covenant which is in my blood.  We have not gone over that verse yet.

I Corinthians 11:25, After the same manner also, He took the cup.  When He had sup, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood. (KJV)

The covenant is in the blood.

When Christ is in us, the New Covenant is in us.  That does not mean that we are walking in and living out of the New Covenant a hundred percent, all of the time.  Christ is the New Covenant.  When Christ kills our carnal mind, and our every thought and motive and act is out of Christ, we are in the New Covenant.

Right now, we have the two covenants in us.  Sometimes we live out of the New Covenant, and sometimes we live out of the Old Covenant.

That is how come Christians have problems, because the Old Covenant is under the sowing and reaping judgment.  Every area of our life that Christ is not ruling in is subject to the sowing and reaping judgment.  The areas of our life that Christ is ruling in, we are not sinning in.  We have both timelines in us.

Genesis 9:16; And the bow shall be in the cloud and I will look upon it that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh upon the earth.  (KJV)

We see that it is God remembering, that it is Elohim remembering.

Genesis 19:29, And it came to pass when God destroyed the cities of the plane, that God remembered Abraham. (KJV)

Genesis 30:22, And God remembered Rachel. (KJV)

Genesis 40:14, But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and show kindness I pray thee unto me; and make mention or remember me to Pharaoh. (KJV)

 That is Joseph talking there.

We see that Jesus could not possibly have been saying to us, Remember me because the One with the power is the One that remembers.

When Joseph said, Remember me, Joseph was in the dungeon.  He told the butler to remember him when he got out of jail.  He said, When you get a chance to talk to Pharaoh, remember me.  I want to get out of here.

The principle of remembering is deliverance.  Remembering is deliverance.  Remember me, Oh God.  Do not leave me down here in hell.

Genesis 40:14, Make mention of me to Pharaoh and bring me out of this house.  23, Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him.  (KJV)

The chief butler had the power to help Joseph and forgot him.  The remembrance is in the hands of the authority.

Genesis 41:9, Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh saying, I do remember my faults this day. (KJV)

We see a spiritual victory of the remembrance of faults.

The remembrance has the authority over the faults.

Exodus 2:24, And God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham.  (KJV)

Exodus 6:5, I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage and I (Jehovah speaking) have remembered my covenant. (KJV)

Exodus 13:3, And Moses said unto the people, remember this day in which you came out of Egypt.  Remember, in submission to God, remember that it was God who brought you out.  Don’t submit to your carnal mind which would cause you to forget it. (KJV)

            Remembrance is authority.

Exodus 20:8, Remember the Sabbath day. (KJV)

The carnal mind will never remember the Sabbath day.  Stay in the Mind of God.  Remember the day you came out of Egypt.  Remember the Sabbath day.  Stay in authority.

Exodus 20:24, An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me and shall sacrifice thereupon thine burnt offerings and thy peace offerings, thy sheep and thy oxen, and all the places where I record my name and I will come unto thee and I will bless thee.  (KJV)

I do not know whether this is Jehovah.  It is probably Jehovah speaking.  He is telling the people of Israel what to do so that they can have communion with Him.  Make an altar.  Put burnt offerings upon it, and sheep, and in all the places where I record my name, I will come unto you.  If you do these carnal things, in all of the people that my name is present, all of the people that have Christ formed in them, I will come to visit you.

Under the Old Covenant, they had to do these additional things.  They had to make an altar because they were under the law.  They had to sacrifice burnt offerings.  Even despite all of these sacrifices, Jehovah is only coming to visit the place where His name is recorded, the place where Christ is formed.

The obedience to the law of Moses was an act of obedience, but it is possible to do all these carnal rituals, to build the altar, and to sacrifice the animals, and have a heart that is not in the nature of Jehovah, to have a heart that is not in submission to Jehovah, but warring against Him.

The Lord said Obedience is better than sacrifice, that a sacrifice with a heart that is not turned towards me is worthless.

Exodus 23:13; And in all things that I have said unto you, be circumspect, and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.  (KJV)

In all things that I have said unto you, be circumspect and make no mention, make no remembrance of the name of other gods.  Name means nature.  Do not remember the nature.  Do not manifest the nature of other gods.

We see that the remembrance on our part is to be looking for the One True God, but the primary remembrance is on the part of God, on the part of the glorified Jesus Christ, who is coming to find the remembrance in us.

There has to be a record as in

Exodus 20:24, . . . . where I record my name, that is where I am going to come.  (KJV)

The glorified Jesus Christ is coming to the men that have the record of His name, or the record of His nature, or the remembrance of His nature, which is only in Christ Jesus.

That is another whole message.  There is communion with the Holy Ghost, but that is only temporary until Christ is formed in you.  The true communion is with Christ.  That is another whole message.

Exodus 32:13; Remember Abraham, Isaac and Israel, thy servants, to whom you swarest by thine own self and saidest unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed and they shall inherit it forever.  (KJV)

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel asking God.  This is a petition to Jehovah to remember the people that He made a covenant with.  Does everybody get this?

The remembrance is in two places.  The remembrance that is in man is God in men, the record of the nature of Jesus Christ for us in this New Covenant, which is in Christ.  That is the part of us that is the remembrance.  Then the glorified Jesus Christ remembers the part of Himself that is in us.

You have to have the record of His name engraved in your heart.  What is the record of His name engraved in your heart?  Who is in your heart center that has His nature?  Who is in our heart center that has the nature of Jehovah?

Yes, Adam in the Old Testament, and He is called Christ Jesus in the New Testament.

Leviticus 26:42; Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob (Jehovah speaking).  (KJV)

Leviticus 26:45; But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors. (Jehovah speaking).  I will remember the covenant that I made with their ancestors. (KJV)

Numbers 5:15; Then shall a man bring his wife unto the priest and he shall bring her offering for her.  (KJV)

I am going to have to finish up these Scriptures and, in particular, the really controversial ones about Jesus saying, Do this in remembrance of me, on Part 2.  It is almost one o’clock in the morning, and it is just too late to do these Scriptures properly.

Lord willing, we will do it at another meeting.  Goodnight.

COMMENT: I just have one comment to make.  The Lord showed me in the Scriptures not to partake of the communion and that Scripture was:

2 Corinthians 6: 17 and it says; Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you.  (KJV)

That unclean thing was the communion that I felt He was telling me not to partake of.

PASTOR VITALE: Did this just happen now or was it a past experience?

COMMENT: It was a past experience.  He brought me out of the Catholic Church, and that was the Scripture that He used. Also, Touch not the unclean thing which was the communion.

PASTOR VITALE: Thank you for sharing that.
