COMMENT: Some sources say that Jesus was in Egypt acquiring occult knowledge. What is your comment on this?
PASTOR VITALE: Such statements used to offend me, but not anymore. I believe that Jesus acquired spiritual knowledge. As far as I know, there is no record (before Living Epistles) of Christian spiritual knowledge being taught, at least in modern times. Gnostic Christians, Kabbalists, Buddhists and Hindus, rightfully claim that Jesus was a great Kabbalist, magician, etc. not understanding that there is such a thing as mature Christian spirituality or Christian spiritual philosophy. They therefore impute His spiritual wisdom to non-Christian (occult) spiritual instruction.
